The show's title parodies the popular CBS sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, and is set from 1982 to 1987. However, Rock himself was actually a teenager from 1978 to 1984, having been born in 1965.

The main cast also includes Taissa Farmiga, Karolina Wydra, Evan Ross, Anne Winters, and Jaime Ray Newman.

A holiday special episode aired on December 15, 2021, ahead of the second-season premiere on March 15, 2022. In May 2022, the series was renewed for a third season, which premiered on November 4, 2022. In June 2023, the series was cancelled after three seasons.

Produced by Legendary Television, Safehouse Pictures and Toho Co., Ltd, it is the sixth installment and the second television series in the MonsterVerse franchise. The series follows members of the organization Monarch as they encounter Godzilla and other monsters, known as "Titans", over the span of a half century. Black serves as showrunner.
