Children's Island (Swedish: Barnens ö) is a Swedish drama film which was released to cinemas in Sweden on 25 December 1980, co-written and directed by Kay Pollak, starring Thomas Fryk and Ingvar Hirdwall. It is based on the novel of the same name by P. C. Jersild. Filming took place between July and October 1979. It won Sweden's most prestigious film prize, the Guldbagge, when it was released in 1980 and was Sweden's official selection for the 54th Academy Awards. The film became controversial in Australia, being banned in 2014, over thirty years after its original release.

Millennium is a 2010 Swedish six-part television miniseries expanded from the 2009 film adaptations of Stieg Larsson's Millennium book series: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest.

Don't Ever Wipe Tears Without Gloves (Swedish: Torka aldrig tårar utan handskar) is a 2012 three-part Swedish TV drama about the impact of AIDS in Stockholm's gay community in the early 1980s. It is based on the Swedish novelist Jonas Gardell's trilogy with the same name, with each episode covering one of the three novels that are subtitled Love, Disease and Death.

Hjälp! (Swedish: Help!) was a Swedish situation comedy television series, broadcast on the TV4 network. It revolved around a psychologist, Jeanette Placzycks, played by Stina Ekblad, who treated patients with a variety of problems.

Karlsson-on-the-Roof (Swedish: Karlsson på taket) is a character who features in a series of children's books by the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. Lindgren may have borrowed the idea for the series from a similar story about Mr. O'Malley in the comic strip Barnaby (1942) by Crockett Johnson.

"Treehouse of Horror XIV" is the first episode of the fifteenth season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on November 2, 2003. In the fourteenth annual Treehouse of Horror episode, Homer takes on the role of the Grim Reaper ("Reaper Madness"), Professor Frink creates a Frankenstein-version of his deceased father ("Frinkenstein") and Bart and Milhouse obtain a time-stopping watch ("Stop the World, I Want to Goof Off"). It was written by John Swartzwelder and directed by Steven Dean Moore. Guest stars in the episode include Jerry Lewis, whose character in The Nutty Professor served as the inspiration for recurring Simpsons character Professor Frink, as Frink's father, and Jennifer Garner, Dudley Herschbach, and Oscar De La Hoya as themselves. The episode was nominated for the 2004 Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Dramatic Underscore).

T. Sventon praktiserande privatdetektiv ("T. Sventon, Practicing Private Investigator") was the Sveriges Television's Christmas calendar in 1989.

Leende guldbruna ögon is a TV miniseries, originally airing over SVT1 for three Monday evenings in a row between 26 February-12 March 2007 (with reruns airing in November 2008) It was directed by Anna Hylander and Emiliano Goessens with screenplay by Anders Weidemann. The series has an anti-racism dansband theme, and features a lot of dansband music. Even Christer Sjögren and Tomas Ledin appear, playing themselves. On 26 February 2007, the soundtrack album was released.

Min syster är en ängel (lit. My Sister Is an Angel) is a 1996 children's book by Ulf Stark. It won the 1996 August Prize in the "best children and youth book" category.
