    Arthur Evans (fourth ¼ 1903 – 7 January 1952), also known by the nickname of "Candy", was a Welsh boxer, dual-code international rugby union, and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s and 1930s. He played representative level rugby union (RU) for Wales, and at club level for Pontypool RFC, as a lock, i.e. number 4 or 5, and representative level rugby league (RL) for Wales, Glamorgan County RLFC, and at club level for Halifax, Leeds, Castleford, Warrington (Heritage № 370), and Leigh (Heritage № 434), as a hooker, or second-row, i.e. number 9, or, 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.

    Frederick Herbert Dauncey (1 December 1871 – 30 October 1955) was a Welsh international rugby union wing who played club rugby for Newport and was capped three times for Wales. Dauncey was an all-round sportsman, and also represented Wales in tennis and Newport in field hockey. He was educated at King Henry VIII Grammar School in Abergavenny and was a lifelong member of the schools Old Boys society.

    Caleb McDuff (born 20 January 2008) is a British go-kart racer. McDuff is profoundly deaf, after losing 90% of his hearing as a toddler, believed to be as a result of a series of ear infections. McDuff currently uses cochlear implants to hear, though these can not be used whilst he wears a crash helmet for racing. McDuff is currently the world's youngest deaf racing driver on a professional career path.

    Shaun Pickering (14 November 1961 – 11 May 2023) was a Welsh shot putter. Pickering won a bronze medal at the 1998 Commonwealth Games representing Wales and finished 27th at the 1996 Olympics. Pickering is a member of the Welsh Athletics hall of fame for a career that included winning 5 Welsh shot put titles, 5 Welsh discus throw titles, and 9 Welsh hammer throw titles. Pickering was the son of Olympian Jean Pickering and Ron Pickering and in 2010 became the heavy throws coach for UK Athletics.

    John Harris (born 1945) was a Paralympian athlete from Wales competing mainly in category 5 throwing events. In 1984 he became the world record holder in the discus winning gold at the Summer Paralympics, following this with silver in the discus and bronze in the Pentathlon four years later.
