Emmanuel Jal (born Jal Jok c. 1980) is a South Sudanese-Canadian artist, actor, former child soldier, and political activist. His autobiography, War Child: A Child Soldier's Story, was published in 2009

Okuta Ceaser Malish Jeremiah (born December 2, 1988 in Torit, South Sudan), famously known by his stage name Silver X, is a South Sudanese singer. Silver X has won many East African awards in Nairobi, Kenya as well as South Sudanese awards in Juba.

Her father, a Murle chief and military commander within the Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army (SPLM/A) was killed in 1989. After her father's death, she and her family spent a number of years in displaced camps in Sudan and refugee camps in Ethiopia to avoid conflicts of the war.

Hilu Beatrice Cosmas (died 29 March 2021; stage-name Trisha Cee) was a South Sudanese female artist and activist who was advocating for girls' education in South Sudan and member of Anataban Campaign. She died in 2021 after a vehicle collision in Juba.
