Andrea Eskau (born 21 March 1971) is a German handbiker, Paralympic biathlon, and cross country skier who was born in Apolda and was a winner of three gold medals in Summer Paralympic games. In 2014, she became a recipient of another gold medal at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. In 2013, she was a cross-country sit skiing winner at the IPC Nordic Skiing World Championship. Eskau also competed at the 2016 Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro winning a gold medal in the H5 Cycling road race and taking home a bronze medal in the H4-5 time trial. In 2018, Eskau went on to compete at her third Winter Paralympmics and won gold in both the 10 km and 12.5 km sitting biathlon.

Marianne Kaufmann-Abderhalden (born 1 April 1986) is a retired World Cup alpine ski racer from Switzerland.

Vasaloppet de la Sergerie is a cross-country skiing event held around Le Norvégien in the Quebec province in Canada. The event was first held in 2007.

Völkl Ski International, GmbH, is a sports equipment manufacturing company based in Bavaria, Germany. Initially it manufactured skis, but has extended its line to snowboards, outerwear, and tennis gear. Völkl's United States subsidiary is located in Lebanon, New Hampshire along with its wholly owned binding manufacturer, Marker. In 2015 Völkl bought the ski boot manufacturer Dalbello.

Clement Noël (born 3 May 1997) is a French World Cup alpine ski racer. He specialises in the Slalom discipline and competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics, placing fourth in the slalom.

Axelle Mollaret (born 3 September 1992 in Annecy, Haute-Savoie) is a French skyrunner and ski mountaineer.

Albin Rogelj (20 February 1929 – 3 February 2023) was a Slovene ski jumper who represented Yugoslavia at the 1956 Winter Olympics, placing 23rd in the normal hill event. Later, he worked as a caricaturist for the Pavliha satirical weekly, becoming one of the most recognized Slovene caricaturists.

Thomas Meisinger is an East German former ski jumper.

Frédéric Berger (born 24 August 1964) is a French former ski jumper. He competed at the 1988 Winter Olympics.
