    The Sōkōtei class (装甲艇, which means "armored boat") or AB-tei class was a type of armored gunboat used by the Imperial Japanese Army from 1928 to 1945 in the Second Sino-Japanese War and World War II. It was constructed of a metal hull and powered by a diesel engine. It was designated the "Type C" landing craft by the United States.

    Nissan Maru (Japanese: 日産丸) was a Japanese cargo ship completed in 1939 owned by Nissan Kisen K.K. that was requisitioned for service as an auxiliary collier and oiler by the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. She served with the 5th Fleet and was sunk by United States Army Air Forces bombers during the Japanese occupation of Kiska in the Aleutian Islands Campaign.

It produces waste treatment plants, industrial plants, precision machinery, industrial machinery, steel mill process equipment, steel structures, construction machinery, tunnel boring machines, and power plants. Despite its name, Hitachi Zosen, of which the last word literally means shipbuilding, no longer builds ships, having spun off the business to Universal Shipbuilding Corporation in 2002, nor is it a keiretsu company of Hitachi any longer.

    The Shōkai Maru-class high-powered tugboat (照海丸型強力曳船,, Shōkai Maru-gata kyōryoku eisen) was a class of gunboat of the Imperial Japanese Army, serving during World War II. The IJA official designation was high-powered tugboat, however, they did not have any towing facilities. They were actually gunboat and escort ships. Many records were lost after the Surrender of Japan.

    The Japanese submarine chaser CH-24 was a No.13-class submarine chaser of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. She was built by the Ōsaka Iron Works, Sakurajima and completed on 20 December 1941. On 24 August 1942, she left Rabaul as part of Operation RE, for the landings at Milne Bay. On March 15, 1943 she, along with CH-22 and Satsuki, sank a submarine, possibly USS Triton, north west of the Admiralty Islands.

    The Kinesaki-class food supply ship (杵埼型給糧艦, Kinesaki-gata kyūryōkan) was a class of four reefer ships of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN), serving during and after World War II. Eleven vessels were planned under the Maru 4 Programme, Maru Rin Programme (Ship #261–263), and Kai-Maru 5 Programme (Ship #5401–5407); however, only four vessels were completed.
