Jafar Towfighi Darian (born 19 March 1956) is an Iranian chemical engineer, academic, politician and senior consultant of the ministry of science, research and technology who served as minister of science, research and technology for two terms. First in the cabinet headed by President Mohammad Khatami from 2003 till 2005, and second in 2013 as acting minister.

Ali Akbar Salehi    (Persian: علی اکبر صالحی‎‎, born 24 March 1949) is an Iranian academic, diplomat and the head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran. He served as head of AEOI from 2009 to 2010 and was appointed to the post for a second time on 16 August 2013. Before his appointment of his current position, he was foreign affairs minister from 2010 to 2013. He was also the Iranian representative in the International Atomic Energy Agency from 1998 to 2003.

Mohammad Reza Rahimi Tabar (Also known as M. R. Rahimi Tabar in scientific literature) is an Iranian theoretical physicist. He is a professor at Sharif University.

Mehdi N. Bahadori (Persian: مهدی بهادری‌نژاد) (born 1933, Tehran) is a professor of mechanical engineering at Sharif University of Technology. His research specialties include solar energy applications and passive cooling of buildings.

Homâyun Serâji (Persian: همایون سراجی‎ 1947 – 16 April 2007) was an Iranian scientist, engineer, a JPL senior researcher and former professor of Sharif University of Technology who published extensively in the field of multivariable control systems, focusing on optimal control, pole placement, multivariable PID controllers, and output regulation. Also he has significant publications in the field of Robotics, and space exploration.

Abbas Edalat (Persian: عباس عدالت‎) is a British-Iranian academic who is a professor of computer science and mathematics at the Department of Computing, Imperial College London and a political activist. In a 2018 letter to The Guardian, 129 experts in computer science, mathematics and machine learning described him as "a prominent academic, making fundamental contributions to mathematical logic and theoretical computer science" Edalat also founded SAF and CASMII, a campaign against sanctions and military intervention in Iran.

Dr. Saeed Sohrabpour (Persian: سعيد سهراب پور ‎‎, born in 1943 in Tehran) is an Iranian academic and the 15th chancellor of Sharif University of Technology from 1997 to 2010.

Siavash Mirshams Shahshahani (Persian: سیاوش میرشمس شهشهانی) (born 1942) is an Iranian mathematician. He is a professor of mathematics and head of Mathematical Sciences Department at Sharif University of Technology. He headed up the IRNIC registry for the .ir ccTLD until his retirement from that position in late 2008. He has also served as a director of APTLD (the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association) between 2007 and his retirement from that position in February 2009.

Jawad A. Salehi, IEEE Fellow, (Persian: جواد صالحی‎) born in Kazemain (Kadhimiya), Iraq, on December 22, 1956 is an Iranian electrical and computer engineer, pioneer of optical code division multiple access (CDMA) and a highly cited researcher. He is also a board member of Academy of Sciences of Iran and a fellow of Islamic World Academy of Sciences. He was also elected as a member of Iranian Science and Culture Hall of Fame (چهره‌های ماندگار) in Electrical Engineering, October 2010.
