Zona Zamfirova (Serbian Cyrillic: Зона Замфирова) is a 2002 comedy-drama film directed by Zdravko Šotra. It is based on the 1906 book by Serbian author Stevan Sremac. The film contains the local vernacular of the Serbian dialect spoken in the region of Niš.

Underground (Serbian: Подземље / Podzemlje), is a 1995 epic satirical black comedy war film directed by Emir Kusturica, with a screenplay co-written with Dušan Kovačević. It is also known by the subtitle Once Upon a Time There Was One Country (Serbian: Била једном једна земља / Bila jednom jedna zemlja), the title of the five-hour miniseries (the long cut) shown on Serbian RTS television.

Time of the Gypsies (Serbo-Croatian: Дом за вешање, Dom za vešanje, 'Home for Hanging') is a 1988 Yugoslav coming-of-age fantasy crime drama directed by Emir Kusturica. Filmed in Romani and Serbo-Croatian, Time of the Gypsies tells the story of a young Romani man with magical powers who is tricked into engaging in petty crime. It is widely considered to be one of Kusturica's best films. The film's shooting took place in Sarajevo, Skopje and Milan. It was selected as the Yugoslav entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 62nd Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. At the time of its release, it was the first film to be entirely in Romani.

The Border Post (Serbo-Croatian: Karaula, Serbian Cyrillic: Караула) is a 2006 comedy-drama produced in international cooperation between the countries of former Yugoslavia and directed by Rajko Grlić. It is based on Ante Tomić's novel Ništa nas ne smije iznenaditi.

W.R.: Mysteries of the Organism (Serbo-Croatian: W.R. – Misterije organizma / W.R. – Мистерије организма) is a 1971 film by Serbian director Dušan Makavejev that explores the relationship between communist politics and sexuality, as well as presenting the controversial life and work of Austrian-American psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich (1897–1957). The film's narrative structure is unconventional, intermixing fictional and documentary elements.

Tito and Me (Serbo-Croatian: Tito i ja, Serbian Cyrillic: Тито и ја) is a 1992 comedy film by Serbian director Goran Marković.

The Wounds (Serbian: Ране, Rane) is a 1998 Serbian drama film written and directed by Srđan Dragojević.

Ljubav i drugi zločini, or Love and Other Crimes in English, is a 2008 Serbian romantic comedy directed by Stefan Arsenijević, and written by Arsenijević and Srđan Koljević, and stars Anica Dobra and Vuk Kostić. The film won Arsenijević an award for Best Director at the 2008 Sofia International Film Festival.

Life Is a Miracle (Serbian: Život je čudo / Живот је чудо) is a Serbian drama film directed by Emir Kusturica in 2004. It was entered into the 2004 Cannes Film Festival. It received nomination at the Golden Eagle Award in 2005 for Best Foreign Language Film.

Here and There (Serbian: Тамо и овде, Tamo i ovde) is a Serbian-German-USA coproduction which premiered at the Belgrade Film Festival FEST 2009. The World premiere was at Tribeca 2009 where the film has won the Best New York Narrative Award. Starring David Thornton and Branislav Trifunović with supporting turns from Cyndi Lauper, Mirjana Karanović, Jelena Mrđa and Antone Pagán.
