    The Pizhma (Russian: Пижма) is a river in Nizhny Novgorod and Kirov Oblasts in Russia, a tributary of the Vyatka. The length of the river is 305 km, the area of its basin is 15,000 km². The Pizhma freezes up in mid-November and stays icebound until the second half of April. The Pizhma is navigable within 144 km of its estuary. The Nemda is a right tributary of the Pizhma.

    The Luza (Russian: Луза) is a river in Oparinsky and Luzsky Districts of Kirov Oblast, Priluzsky District of the Komi Republic, and Velikoustyugsky District of Vologda Oblast in Russia. It is a right tributary of the Yug. It is 574 kilometers (357 mi) long, and the area of its drainage basin is 18,300 square kilometers (7,100 sq mi). Its main tributaries are the Lopyu, the Porub, the Lekhta, and the Lala (all from the right). The town of Luza and the urban-type settlement of Lalsk are located on the banks of the Luza, as well as the selo of Obyachevo, the administrative center of Priluzsky District.

It is 574-kilometer (357 mi) long, and the area of its basin is 35,600 square kilometers (13,700 sq mi). The Yug joins the Sukhona near the town of Veliky Ustyug, forming the Northern Dvina, one of the biggest rivers of European Russia.

Its main tributaries are the Shoba (93 km), Shumba (87 km), Nolya (69 km), Ashlanka (65 km), Pilinka (52 km), Ashlanka (33 km), Masarinka (87 km), and the Ireka (63 km). The town of Urzhum on the left bank of the Urzhumka is about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from its mouth.

The average discharge 47 kilometers (29 mi) from its mouth is 28 cubic meters per second (990 cu ft/s). The Usta freezes over in November, and stays icebound until April. It is navigable in its lower reaches. The town of Uren is located on the right bank of the Usta.
