Presidents of the Romanian Football Federation

Carol II (3 October 1893 – 4 April 1953) reigned as King of Romania from 8 June 1930 until his abdication on 6 September 1940. He was the eldest son of Ferdinand I and became crown prince upon the death of his grand-uncle, King Carol I in 1914. He was the first of the Hohenzollern kings of Romania to be born in the country; both of his predecessors had been born in Germany and only came to Romania as adults. As such, he was the first member of the Romanian branch of the Hohenzollerns who spoke Romanian as his first language, and was also the first member of the royal family to be raised in the Orthodox faith. Carol was also a fan of football, being the Romanian Football Federation's president for almost one year from 1924 until 1925.

Andrei Rădulescu (9 February 1925 – 1992) was a Romanian football forward, referee, president of the Romanian Football Federation and a basketball player.

Virgil Economu (21 November 1896 – 1978) was a Romanian rugby player, football manager, journalist and a writer.

Gabriel Marinescu (first name also Gavril or Gavrilă; November 7, 1886 – November 26/27, 1940) was a Romanian general.

Viorel Virgil Tilea C.B.E. (6 April 1896 – 20 September 1972) was a Romanian diplomat, most noted for his ambassadorship in the United Kingdom during the Second World War. He died in London. During the Second World War, Tilea lived at Holton Place, Oxfordshire, where he became a key representative of Romania's monarchist regime in exile.

Gheorghe Popescu (8 August 1919 – 1 January 2001) was a Romanian footballer and also a manager. He played as a striker.

Mircea Traian Sandu (born 22 October 1952 in Bucharest) is a retired Romanian footballer and president of the Romanian Football Federation. As a player, Sandu scored 167 goals in Liga I, being ranked seventh in the all-time scoring table, but has never been the top scorer in a single season.

Corneliu Mănescu (February 8, 1916 – June 26, 2000) was a Romanian diplomat born in Ploiești. He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania from 1961 to 1972 and as President of the United Nations General Assembly from 1967 to 1968.

Alexandru Bârlădeanu (or Bîrlădeanu; 25 January 1911 – 13 November 1997) was a Romanian Marxian economist who was prominent during the Communist regime until being sidelined in 1968. In his later years, following the collapse of the regime, he served as Senate President.

Răzvan Marian Burleanu (born 1 July 1984 in Focșani) is the 30th President of the Romanian Football Federation. He was elected new President of the FRF on March 5, 2014. Burleanu previously was also the Head of the European Minifootball Federation (EMF) from March 25, 2012 until January 2017. He is the son of former midfielder Gheorghe Burleanu who played in 352 Liga I matches and scored 49 goals for FC Olt Scornicești, FCM Târgoviște, Dacia Unirea Brăila, FCM Bacău and Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț.
