Poland (Polish: Polska ), officially the Republic of Poland (Polish: Rzeczpospolita Polska,  listen ), is a country in Central Europe, bordered by Germany to the west; the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the south; Ukraine and Belarus to the east; and the Baltic Sea, Kaliningrad Oblast (a Russian exclave) and Lithuania to the north. The total area of Poland is 312,679 square kilometres (120,726 sq mi), making it the 69th largest country in the world and the 9th largest in Europe. Izabella Scorupco (born Izabela Dorota Skorupko; 4 June 1970) is a Polish-Swedish actress, singer and model. She is best known for having played Bond girl Natalya Simonova in the 1995 James Bond film GoldenEye. She is also remembered for her cover of the Shirley & Company song "Shame, Shame, Shame" which was released in 1992 and became a European hit.

Izabella Miko (born Izabella Anna Mikołajczak; 21 January 1981) is a Polish actress, dancer, film producer, and environmental activist. She is best known for starring in the film Coyote Ugly and the music videos "Mr. Brightside" and "Miss Atomic Bomb" by The Killers. While a dance student in Poland, Miko was recruited to study at the New York City Ballet at age 15 and later studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute. She made her American film debut in Coyote Ugly (2000), followed by a starring part in the vampire thriller The Forsaken (2001).

Marek Żukow-Karczewski (born May 6, 1961) is a Polish historian, journalist, and author who specializes in the history of Poland, especially Kraków, and in the history of architecture and environmental issues. He is a descendant of the Polish noble family Karczewski and of the Russian noble family Żukow (Russian: Жуков, English: Zhukov).

Anna Lewandowska (née Stachurska; 7 September 1988) is a Polish athlete, a graduate of the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, a specialist on nutrition, karate and representative of the country in traditional karate. She is a multiple medalist of the World, European, and national Championships troy.

Robert Lewandowski ( born 21 August 1988) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Bayern Munich and is the captain of the Poland national team. He is renowned for his positioning, technique and finishing, and is widely regarded as one of the best strikers of his generation.

Magdalena Frąckowiak (born 6 October 1984) is a Polish model and jewelry designer who began appearing on international runways in 2006.

Barbara Brylska (born 5 June 1941) is a Polish actress who was also featured in numerous films throughout the countries of the Warsaw Pact including the Soviet Union. She is noted especially for her role as Nadya in the 1976 Soviet comedy film Irony of Fate.
