Marjo Yli-Kiikka (born 16 June 1978) is a Finnish sports shooter. She competed at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.

Matti Haapoja (September 16, 1845, Isokyrö – January 8, 1895, Turku) was a Finnish murderer who was much covered by the press at the time of the murders. The exact number of his victims is unknown. He was convicted of two murders and was scheduled for a trial for his third murder trial when he committed suicide in his cell. He can be linked to seven other identified murder cases, but most of those happened during his exile in Siberia and are poorly documented, so his involvement is not certain. It is claimed that he confessed to 18 murders, but there are no details about this supposed confession, and the figure should be regarded as unreliable. Some sources estimate his total number of murders as 22–25. He also non-fatally wounded at least six men in knife fights.

Eino Sakari Repo (September 6, 1919, Isokyrö – December 15, 2002, Helsinki) was the president of state owned Finnish Broadcasting Company from 1965 to 1969 and head of the radio from 1969 to 1974. His time as president was known as Repo's Radio.

Ilmari Turja (28 October 1901 — 6 January 1998) was a Finnish writer, best known as a journalist and playwright, with a career spanning nearly eight decades from the 1920s to the 1990s.

Matti Rudolf "Masa" Perttilä (21 January 1896 – 12 May 1968) was a Finnish wrestler who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics. He was born and died in Isokyrö.

Karri Hietamäki (born 20 September 1969) is a Finnish cross-country skier who competed since 1992. He won a silver medal in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1995 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Thunder Bay and earned his best individual finish of 14th at those same championships.

Valfrid Perttilä (23 September 1878 – 17 August 1953) was a Finnish politician and trade unionist. He was a member of the Parliament of Finland 1907–1914 and 1917 representing the Social Democratic Party. During the 1918 Civil War of Finland, Perttilä was the chairman of the Central Workers' Council of Finland.

Kustaa Killinen (7 September 1849, Isokyrö – 5 January 1922) was a Finnish schoolteacher, writer and politician. He belonged to the Young Finnish Party. Killinen served as a Member of the Diet of Finland from 1897 to 1906 and as a Member of the Parliament of Finland from 1913 to 1916.
