René Hubert (October 7, 1895 – June, 1976) was a Swiss costume designer. He was nominated for two Academy Awards for his work on costumes.

Julius Michael Johannes Maggi (9 October 1846 – 19 October 1912) was a Swiss entrepreneur, inventor of precooked soups and Maggi sauce. He is best known for founding Maggi, which was merged with Nestle in 1947.

Fabrice Herzog (born 9 December 1994) is a Swiss professional ice hockey forward currently playing for HC Davos in the National League (NL). He was drafted 142nd overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Reto Hollenstein (born 22 August 1985) is a Swiss racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Israel Start-Up Nation. He rode in the 2014 Tour de France.

Susanna Maiolo (born 1984) is a woman with Italian and Swiss citizenship who rushed towards Pope Benedict XVI twice, most recently at Christmas Eve Midnight Mass, 24 December 2009, inside St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. She knocked the Pope and French cardinal Roger Etchegaray to the ground, and broke the cardinal's leg and hip. Maiolo's previous attack in December 2008 was intercepted successfully by the Pope's bodyguards.

Pierre-Gustave-Gaspard Joly de Lotbinière (born February 5, 1798 in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, died June 8, 1865 in Paris) was a French businessman and amateur daguerreotypist, born citizen of the Republic of Geneva, and married to a Canadian seigneuress. Famous for being the first to photograph the Acropolis of Athens and some ancient Egyptian monuments, he is also the father of Sir Henri-Gustave Joly de Lotbinière, prime minister of Quebec from 1878 to 1879.

Patrick Heuscher (born 22 December 1976 in Frauenfeld) is a Swiss beach volleyball player. With his partner Stefan Kobel he won the bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Between 2007 and 2011 he teamed with Sascha Heyer, they finished 17th at the Beijing Olympics. At the 2012 Summer Olympics he teamed with Jefferson Bellaguarda. They reached the round of 16.

Fabian Frei (born 8 January 1989) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for FC Basel. Until June 2011, he played for the Swiss U-21 team. He made his international debut for Swiss senior team on 7 October 2011. He was selected to represent Switzerland at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He is of no relation to former club and country team mate Alexander Frei.
