Asunción Cummings Hostin (born October 20, 1968), known professionally as Sunny Hostin, is an American lawyer, columnist, journalist, and television host. Hostin is co-host on ABC's morning talk show The View as well as the Senior Legal Correspondent and Analyst for ABC News. She is also the host and executive producer of Investigation Discovery's true crime series Truth About Murder with Sunny Hostin.

Karen Kilgariff (born May 11, 1970 in Petaluma, California) is an American writer, comedian, singer, author, actress, television producer, and podcast host. She began her career as a stand up comedian in the early 1990s and later became a television actress, most notably as a cast member on Mr. Show. She has written for many comedy television shows, including being the head writer on The Rosie Show, The Ellen Degeneres Show and The Pete Holmes Show.

Ryan Steven Bergara (born November 26, 1990) is an American Internet personality, actor, paranormal investigator, and co-founder of digital entertainment company, Watcher Entertainment. Bergara first rose to prominence after creating and co-starring in the YouTube true crime and supernatural series Buzzfeed Unsolved.

Georgia Hardstark (born June 8, 1980) is an American television host and podcast personality. She is the co-host of the true crime - comedy podcast My Favorite Murder along with comedian Karen Kilgariff. In 2018, Hardstark and Kilgariff co-founded the Exactly Right podcast network.

Rachel Fairburn is an English comedian. She was born in Harpurhey, Manchester and attended St Monica's High School. She is co-host of the hit comedy podcast All Killa No Filla along with fellow comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean. All Killa No Filla has been named one of the top eight true crime podcasts of 2018 by The Independent, Esquire 's number two 'Best True Crime Podcast' in 2018 and one of the best podcast of 2018 by The Guardian. Time cited their podcast as an example of how female comedians are talking about their experiences in the ＃MeToo era. Fairburn and Pritchard-McLean launched their podcast in 2014.

Payne Lindsey is an American director, documentary filmmaker, and podcast host. He is best known for co-creating and hosting the hit investigative journalist and true crime podcasts Up and Vanished and Atlanta Monster.

Joseph Berlinger (born October 30, 1961) is an American filmmaker and producer. Particularly focused on true crime documentaries, Berlinger's films and docu-series draw attention to social justice issues in the US and abroad in such films as Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills, Crude, Whitey: United States of America v. James J. Bulger and Intent To Destroy: Death, Denial and Depiction. A 2017 HuffPost article said "Brother's Keeper (1992) and the Paradise Lost trilogy (1996–2011) helped pioneer the style of documentary filmmaking [seen] in Netflix's recent true crime sensation, Making a Murderer—a combination of artful cinematography, a stirring musical soundtrack, and a dramatic narrative structure as compelling as any scripted film."
