    Dame Eileen June Atkins, DBE (born 16 June 1934), is an English actress and occasional screenwriter. She has worked in the theatre, film, and television consistently since 1953. In 2008, she won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress and the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for Cranford. She is also a three-time Olivier Award winner, winning Best Supporting Performance in 1988 (for Multiple roles) and Best Actress for The Unexpected Man (1999) and Honour (2004). She was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1990 and Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in 2001.

    Betty Boothroyd, Baroness Boothroyd, OM, PC (8 October 1929 – February 2023) was a British politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for West Bromwich and West Bromwich West from 1973 to 2000. From 1992 to 2000, she served as Speaker of the House of Commons. She is the only woman to have served as Speaker. She sat, by tradition, as a Crossbench peer in the House of Lords.

    Charles Edward Lord OBE JP (born 13 January 1972) is a politician and a senior sports administrator. He was Group Board Chairman of the Amateur Swimming Association, the English national governing body for swimming, diving and water polo from 2013 to 2015 and has a number of appointments within the Football Association. He was Chairman of Local Partnerships LLP from 2009 to 2012 and served on Executive of the Local Government Association from 2008 to 2012 and the LGA Improvement and Innovation Board from 2004 to 2013, where he was national lead for equality and social inclusion. He has been an elected member of the City of London Court of Common Council since February 2001, most recently re-elected in March 2013. He is now chairman of the City's Standards Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Establishment Committee and member of the powerful Policy and Resources Committee. In February 2011 he was appointed chairman of Capital Ambition in which role he serves of the Leaders' Committee of London Councils. He was awarded an OBE for public service in June 2011.

    Sir Paul James Curran FRGS (born 17 May 1955) is president of City, University of London. He took up his post in August 2010. Following a period of significant progress, City joined the University of London federation in September 2016. He previously served as vice-chancellor of Bournemouth University (2005–10) and deputy vice-chancellor at the University of Southampton, where he is currently a visiting professor. As a member of the senior management team at Southampton, progressing from head of geography to dean of science, Curran was credited with high-profile leadership as head of the Winchester School of Art, part of the University of Southampton.

    Sir Philip Magnus, 1st Baronet (7 October 1842 – 29 August 1933) was a British educational reformer and politician, who represented the London University constituency as a Unionist Member of Parliament from 1906 to 1922. He had previously been appointed director of the City and Guilds of London Institute, from where he helped oversee the creation of a modern system of technical education in the United Kingdom. He was married to the writer and teacher Katie Magnus, and was father of the publisher Laurie Magnus. Laurie predeceased him, and on his own death in 1933 he was succeeded in the baronetcy by Laurie's eldest son Philip.
