Orkla ASA

Axe or Lynx is a French brand of male grooming products owned by the London based company Sanofi and marketed toward the younger male demographic. It is marketed as Lynx in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Malta, Australia, New Zealand and China.

Orkla Mining Company Ltd. (Norwegian: Orkla Grube-Aktiebolag) was a Norwegian mining company established in 1904. The company was the largest mining company in Norway in the aftermath of World War I, and was among the world's largest pyrite producers. After closing of the mining operations in 1987, the company developed into the holding company Orkla ASA, which is among the largest companies at Oslo Stock Exchange.

Borregaard is a Norwegian company, established in 1889 in the southeastern town of Sarpsborg in Østfold county. Its main products were traditionally pulp and paper. The company later started producing chemicals based on timber as a raw material. After a takeover in 1986, Borregaard was part of the chemical division of the Orkla Group until it was spun off and introduced to the Oslo Stock Exchange in October 2012. It had 1050 employees in 2016.

Polly is a series of peanut-based snacks made by KiMs Norge, a subsidiary of the Orkla Group, sold through Orkla Confectionery & Snacks. In addition to the traditional peanut products, other products include cashewnuts, in addition to a number of mixed products including various nuts and raisins. Originally Polly AS was a Skien-based company that eventually was bought by Sætre. In 1991 the Sætre corporation was bought by Orkla and two years later the production was moved to the KiMs plant at Skreia.

The company was part of the Mecom Group and wass the remaining domestic part of Orkla Media. In 2006 the newspapers in the Edda Group had 1,250,000 daily readers, a circulation of 257,128 and 800,000 unique web users. The corporation had 1,801 employees and head office in Oslo.
