Opel timeline 1980 to present

The Opel Frontera, also marketed as the Vauxhall Frontera in the UK, is a subcompact crossover SUV (B-segment) produced by Opel since 2024. The Frontera replaced the Opel/Vauxhall Crossland, and is a sister model to the second-generation Citroën C3 Aircross. It is available as a petrol mild hybrid vehicle or as a battery electric vehicle.

The Chevrolet Volt is a compact car that was produced by General Motors. The first generation of the Chevrolet Volt, it was manufactured at the Detroit facility until it was succeeded by the second and final generation of the Volt in 2015. It is a five-door liftback with a range-extending generator.

The Opel Kadett E was introduced in August 1984 as the sixth generation of the Opel Kadett, and was voted the 1985 European Car of the Year. As with its predecessor, it was sold as the Vauxhall Astra in the United Kingdom. This model was also developed into a more conventional three-box design with a boot (trunk), badged as the Vauxhall Belmont in the United Kingdom, launched at Frankfurt Motor Show in 1985. There was an estate car called the "Caravan", available with either three or five doors. In South Africa, the Kadett notchback was sold as the Opel Monza, along with a convertible. This replaced the Opel Ascona.

The Vauxhall VXR8 is a performance car marketed by Vauxhall in the United Kingdom between 2007 and 2017, based on two different models produced by Holden Special Vehicles: the HSV Clubsport (2007–2009) and HSV GTS (2010–2017). The VXR8 is the successor to both the Vauxhall Monaro VXR and the Vauxhall Omega/Carlton. Initially powered by a 411 bhp (306 kW) Gen IV LS2 6.0 litre V8, from late 2009 it was upgraded to the Gen IV LS3 6.2 litre V8 with 425 bhp (317 kW), shared with the Chevrolet Corvette C6 and the Chevrolet Camaro SS. The Vauxhall initially mainly competed with other large sport sedans such as the Audi RS6, BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E55/E63 AMG, and although it was somewhat bigger in almost all dimensions than them, was not enough to touch luxury territory.

The Citroën Ami is a two-door, battery-electric quadricycle marketed by the French marque Citroën since 2020. Designed by Pierre Leclercq and named after the model produced between 1961 and 1978, the production model was previewed by the "Ami One" concept car. Both the Ami and Ami One were developed simultaneously by Groupe PSA (now Stellantis) and Altran. The vehicle is manufactured at the facility in Kenitra, Morocco and is equipped with a compact electric motor located at the front, generating 6 kilowatts (8.0 hp; 8.2 PS) to drive the front wheels. The vehicle's diminutive size has been noted by car reviewers, with a journalist from The Telegraph describing being inside the Ami as "being inside a Lego brick".

The Opel Grandland (Vauxhall Grandland in the United Kingdom) is a compact crossover SUV produced by the German manufacturer Opel and its British twin-sister brand Vauxhall. It was originally known as the Opel and Vauxhall Grandland X. It was introduced as a replacement for the Opel Antara, and also replaced the Opel Zafira in 2019.

The Opel Crossland is a subcompact crossover SUV (B-segment) marketed by Opel from 2017 to 2024. It was also marketed as the Vauxhall Crossland in the United Kingdom, officially unveiled to the media in January 2017. The car was officially shown at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017, and was originally known as the Opel and Vauxhall Crossland X. It went on sale in the summer of 2017. At the same time, the Opel Meriva was discontinued, as demand for crossovers and SUVs in the B-segment is continually growing at the expense of compact MPVs.

The Opel Karl is a city car with a hatchback manufactured by GM Korea and marketed by Opel as a rebadged and restyled variant of the fourth-generation Chevrolet Spark (M400), replacing the Suzuki-sourced Agila in Opel's range. Named after Adam Opel's eldest son Carl, the city car was discontinued following the sale of Opel to PSA Group in 2019. General Motors marketed a rebadged variant in the United Kingdom as the Vauxhall Viva, resurrecting an old nameplate from 1963 to 1979.

The Opel Cascada is a four-passenger fabric-roof convertible, manufactured and marketed by Opel across a single generation for model years 2013-2019, prioritizing year-round touring comfort over sportiness.

The Opel Adam is a city car engineered and produced by the German car manufacturer Opel, and is named after the company's founder Adam Opel. It was sold under the Vauxhall marque in the United Kingdom. It was launched in France at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, with sales starting in the beginning of 2013.
