Nico albums

The Velvet Underground & Nico is the debut album by American rock band the Velvet Underground and vocal collaborator Nico. It was originally released in March 1967 by Verve Records. Recorded in 1966 during Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable multimedia event tour, The Velvet Underground & Nico would gain attention for its experimental performance sensibilities, as well as the focus on controversial subject matter expressed in many of its songs including drug abuse, prostitution, sadism and masochism and sexual deviancy.

The Marble Index is the second solo studio album by German musician Nico, released in November 1968. Produced by Frazier Mohawk, it was released on Elektra Records. Described by critic Simon Reynolds as "one of the most harrowing and death-fixated albums in rock history", The Marble Index was written by Nico and features musical arrangements by John Cale, who had worked with Nico during her collaboration with the Velvet Underground.

Camera Obscura is the seventh solo studio album by German singer Nico and backing band The Faction, released in 1985 by record label Beggars Banquet. It was produced by John Cale, marking their first studio collaboration since The End in 1974. It was Nico's final studio album before her death three years later.

Chelsea Girl is the debut solo album by Nico. It was released in October 1967 by Verve Records, also home to The Velvet Underground. The name of the album is a reference to Andy Warhol's 1966 film Chelsea Girls, in which Nico starred. The sixth track of the album (or first on Side B on vinyl) is titled "Chelsea Girls".

Desertshore is the third studio album by Nico. It was released in December 1970, through record label Reprise.

June 1, 1974 is a live album of songs performed at the Rainbow Theatre in London on the titular date. The album is officially attributed to Kevin Ayers, John Cale, Brian Eno and Nico, although other well-known musicians, including Mike Oldfield and Robert Wyatt, also contributed to the concert. It is also informally known as the ACNE album, i.e. "Ayers, Cale, Nico, Eno". The cover photograph was taken by Mick Rock in the foyer of the Rainbow Theatre shortly before the concert began. The bemused stare between John Cale (right) and Kevin Ayers (left) is explained by the fact that Cale had caught Ayers sleeping with his wife the night before the show.

The End... is the fourth studio album by Nico. It was released in November 1974, through record label Island.

Do or Die: Diary 1982 is a live album by Nico, released in November 1982. The album chronicles her European tour from January 18 to March 28, 1982. It features songs from Nico's albums The Marble Index, Desertshore, The End... and Drama of Exile, which include covers of the Velvet Underground, David Bowie and the Doors.

Andy Warhol's Velvet Underground featuring Nico is a compilation album of the Velvet Underground released by MGM Records in 1971 that features selections from the band's first three studio albums. Originally released as a double LP, the cover artwork and inside gatefold sleeve feature imitations of Andy Warhol's paintings of Coca-Cola bottles, but are credited to other artists on the back sleeve of the album. The album was released in the UK to capitalise on the interest from Warhol's Pork.

The Frozen Borderline – 1968–1970 is a compilation album by German musician Nico, released in 2007 by record label Rhino. The album comprises remastered versions of her studio albums The Marble Index (1968) and Desertshore (1970), along with early/alternate versions of several tracks and two previously unknown tracks.
