1989 is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, released on October 27, 2014, through Big Machine Records. Following the release of her cross-genre fourth studio album Red (2012), noted for pop hooks and electronic production, the media questioned the validity of Swift's status as a country artist. Inspired by 1980s synth-pop to create a record that shifted her sound and image from country-oriented to mainstream pop, Swift enlisted Max Martin as co-executive producer, and named her fifth album after her birth year.

She Wolf (Spanish: Loba) is the eighth studio album by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira. It was released on 9 October 2009, by Epic Records and Sony Music Latin. As executive producers, Shakira and Amanda Ghost enlisted collaborators including The Neptunes, John Hill, Wyclef Jean, Lukas Burton, Future Cut, Jerry Duplessis and Timbaland. Musically, the record shifts from her traditional Latin pop and pop rock musical styles, instead exploring electropop, with influences of folk and world music. The lyrical themes of the album mostly focus on love and relationships and were based on the conversations Shakira had with her friends.

Bella Donna is the debut studio album by American singer, songwriter and Fleetwood Mac vocalist Stevie Nicks. Released on July 27, 1981, the album reached number one on the U.S. Billboard charts in September of that year. Bella Donna was awarded Platinum status by the RIAA on October 7, 1981, less than three months after its release, and has since been certified quadruple-platinum. 'Bella Donna' spent nearly three years on the Billboard 200 from July 1981 to June 1984. The album has sold over 15 million copies worldwide, including more than 4 million copies in the US alone with approximately a million copies since 1991 in the US according to Nielsen Soundscan. It is Nicks' best selling solo album to date.

Pain Killer is the sixth studio album by American country music group Little Big Town. It was released on October 21, 2014, through Capitol Nashville. Little Big Town co-wrote eight of the album's thirteen tracks. Pain Killer was produced by Jay Joyce.

Kings & Queens of the Underground is the seventh studio album by English rock vocalist Billy Idol, released on 17 October 2014 and produced mainly by Trevor Horn.

Give 'Em Hell is the fifth solo release but is the third to include all original studio recordings by heavy metal musician Sebastian Bach. The album was released April 22, 2014, by Frontiers Records. The premiere of the single "Temptation" was on Jay Mohr's Stories podcast on February 17, 2014.

The Outsiders is the fourth studio album by American country music artist Eric Church. It was released on February 11, 2014, via EMI Nashville. Like all of his previous albums, it is produced by Jay Joyce. It was before the release that Church received media attention for saying "I think genres are dead." This comment irked certain news outlets.

3.0 is the eleventh studio album by American recording artist Marc Anthony, released on July 23, 2013. It is his first original salsa album in over a decade. "Vivir Mi Vida", was released as the first single on April 26, 2013. "Cambio de Piel", was released as the second single on October 8, 2013. The album was nominated for Album of the Year and won Best Salsa Album at the 2014 Latin Grammy Awards.

Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor is the fifth solo studio album by former White Zombie frontman Rob Zombie. The album was released on April 23, 2013, four days after the release of Zombie's film The Lords of Salem. The track listing was confirmed on Zombie's Facebook page on February 22. This is the first Rob Zombie album to feature drummer Ginger Fish who, with John 5, were previous members of the band Marilyn Manson. A music video for the album's first single "Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Supertown" was released April 8, 2013.

Crosswinds is the third album by soul vocalist Peabo Bryson. Released in late 1978, the album reached number three on the US R&B albums chart.
