    Edward Winter Clark (E. W. Clark) (1830- ) was a 19th-century missionary to Nagaland, India. In 1872, Clark and his wife opened their first mission station in the Naga Hills near Ao Naga, after a 40-year gap following the previous and first Baptist missionary, Reverend Miles Bronson, to work with the Naga people. Clark and his wife would spend the periods of 1872-1901 and 1904-1911 in Nagaland.

The town is made up of 16 wards of which Kumlong, Sangtemla, Alempang and Yimyu are the largest.

The town consists of two main areas, Tuli headquarters and Tzüdikong (Tuli Paper Mill Township).

Also known as Ao Funemro meaning the Vanguard village of the Aos in the days of headhunting, it is strategically situated and commands a view of the surrounding hills and valleys .The people of this village are hard working and one can find exquisite handicrafts and handloom items in this village. On a clear day, one can view the eastern Himalayas of Arunachal and beyond and also the industrial smoke bellowing from the industries in Assam. The Aos have a belief that Longkhüm is the resting place of the spirit of dead on their onward journey to paradise. Mongzu Ki - eagle's eyrie - is situated at a high precipice where eagles have nested for centuries. According to Ao mythology, eagles are the manifestations of the spirits of the dead.This village was once called the Father of Ao villages during the ancient days.

    Yimyu is one of the 15 wards that make up Mokokchung town in India. It is an extensive area and forms the northwestern part of Mokokchung. Until 2003, Yimyu was a separate town and not under Mokokchung Municipal Council. However the last two decades has seen the gradual expansion of the settlements of both Yimyu and Mokokchung and had become a continuous settlement area. In 2003, Yimyu was formally incorporated as part of Mokokchung town. The Mariani-Mokokchung Highway passes through this ward. Mokokchung District Jail and DIET College are located here.
