Marcus Markley Thames ( TIMZ) (born March 6, 1977) is the hitting coach for the New York Yankees. An American former professional baseball left fielder and designated hitter, he played for the New York Yankees, Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers from 2002 through 2011.

Stacey Eugene Pickering (born July 12, 1968) is the former State Auditor of Mississippi, a position that he filled from 2008 until his resignation in July 2018. His resignation came after accepting the position as the head of the Mississippi Veterans Affairs Board.

Steven McCarty Palazzo (born February 21, 1970) is an American politician who has served the U.S. Representative for Mississippi's 4th congressional district since 2011. The district includes Mississippi's Gulf Coast and includes Biloxi, Gulfport, Pascagoula, Laurel and Hattiesburg. Palazzo is a member of the Republican Party.

Bob M. Dearing (January 26, 1935 – July 30. 2020) was a Democratic member of the Mississippi Senate. He represented the 37th District from 1980 to 2011. In 2011, he was defeated by Republican Melanie Sojourner. He ran for the seat again in 2015, and defeated Sojourner.

William T. Hawks, known as Bill Hawks (November 22, 1944 near Oxford, Mississippi), is an American politician, former civil servant, agricultural businessman, and founder and CEO of AgWorks Solutions, LLC.

George G. Dillard (born 1839) was an American lawyer, soldier, and politician. He served as a sergeant in the Confederate Army, a commander in Mississippi's National Guard, and a leading delegate at the 1890 Mississippi Constitutional Convention. He represented the 19th District in the Mississippi State Senate from 1884 to 1892. He represented Noxubee County at the 1890 Mississippi Constitutional Convention.

Major General Catherine S. Lutz (August 11, 1955 – January 16, 2014) was a Mississippi National Guard officer. She began her career as a nurse before becoming a medical officer. She served in a series of postings before being promoted to the rank of brigadier general in 2009 while acting as assistant to the Chief Nurse of the Air Force, becoming the first female general officer in the history of the Mississippi National Guard. She was subsequently promoted to the rank of major general and commander of the Mississippi Air National Guard.

John Trent Kelly (born March 1, 1966) is an American politician from Mississippi. A member of the Republican Party, Kelly is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Mississippi's 1st congressional district, following his victory in a special election on June 2, 2015.

Ralph Lee Abraham Jr. (born September 16, 1954) is an American politician, medical doctor, and former veterinarian who served as the U.S. Representative for Louisiana's 5th congressional district from 2015 to 2021. A member of the Republican Party, he is a native and resident of Alto, Louisiana.
