Ministry of National Defense (PRC)

The Ministry of National Defense of the People's Republic of China is the second-ranked constituent department under the State Council. It is headed by the Minister of National Defense.

The Office for International Military Cooperation of the Central Military Commission is the chief organ under the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China for coordinating the People's Liberation Army's relationships with foreign militaries. It grew out of the PLA's Foreign Affairs Office, founded in 1951. It was founded on January 11, 2016, under Xi Jinping's military reforms. Its current director is Ci Guowei.

The minister of national defense of the People's Republic of China is the head of the Ministry of National Defense and one of the top positions in the State Council. The minister usually is also a member of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and a member of the Central Military Commission (CMC), the top governing body of China's armed forces including the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The Intelligence Bureau of the Joint Staff Department of the Central Military Commission (Chinese: 中央军委联合参谋部情报局; pinyin: Lián cān qíngbào jú) is a bureau of the Joint Staff Department. It is one of the People's Republic of China's primary intelligence organizations and the principal military intelligence organ of the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The August 1st Building, also known as the Bayi Building located at No. 7 Fuxing Road (Beijing) in Haidian District, Beijing, is a military office building in Beijing, China. It was planned to be the main office for the agencies of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of Defense. It has become known as the "Great Hall of the People's Liberation Army" as it is the venue of most military diplomatic events and important military meetings.
