Orkla Mining Company Ltd. (Norwegian: Orkla Grube-Aktiebolag) was a Norwegian mining company established in 1904. The company was the largest mining company in Norway in the aftermath of World War I, and was among the world's largest pyrite producers. After closing of the mining operations in 1987, the company developed into the holding company Orkla ASA, which is among the largest companies at Oslo Stock Exchange.

Nordic Mining ASA is an Anglo-Norwegian mining company based in Norway. Focussing on exploration and production of industrial minerals and metals, the company is primarily involved in rutile, quartz, and lithium. The company's shares are listed on Oslo Axess.

Hassel Iron Works (Norwegian: Hassel Jernværk; also rendered as Hassel jernverk in modern spelling) was a former mining and iron works company located near the village of Skotselv in Øvre Eiker, Buskerud, Norway, that existed from 1649 until 1854.

Sulitjelma Mines (Norwegian: Sulitjelma gruber) was a Norwegian mining company that extracted copper, pyrite, and zinc at Sulitjelma in Fauske Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. Operations started with a test mine in 1887. From 1891 to 1933, the business was registered as a Swedish company called Sulitelma Aktiebolags Gruber. From 1933 to 1983, it was registered as a Norwegian company called A/S Sulitjelma Gruber, and from 1983 until it was shut down in 1991 the company was state-owned and was named Sulitjelma Bergverk AS.

Stordø Kisgruber was a Norwegian mining company which operated the pyrite mines in Litlabø at Stord in Hordaland, Norway.

Intex Resources (OSE: ITX) is an international mining company based in Norway. Its portfolio consists of non-precious minerals and the main project is a nickel project in Mindoro in the Philippines. Other projects include Hurdal and Ramnes, both molybdenum north of Oslo in Norway, Seqi Olivine in Sweden and Maniitsoq diamond project north of Nuuk in Greenland.

Blaafarveværket, or the Blue Colour Works, was a mining and industrial company located at Åmot in Modum in Buskerud, Norway, which existed from 1776 to 1898, and which was Norway's largest mining company in the first half of the 19th century. The works mined cobalt ore and manufactured by smelting blue cobalt glass (smalt) and cobalt blue (cobalt aluminate) pigment. It is currently a large open-air industrial museum and an art gallery; it is the largest and best preserved mine museum in Europe, and one of Norway's most visited attractions.

Sydvaranger AS (previously A/S Sydvaranger) is an iron ore mining company in Sør-Varanger Municipality, Norway. The mining operations have not restarted (as of Q2 2024). With an open-pit mine in Bjørnevatn, it has traditionally hauled the ore with the Kirkenes–Bjørnevatn Line to Kirkenes for processing and shipping.
