The three mines at the end of 2019 had coal reserves amounting to 222 million tonnes of coking coal and had an annual production of 6.2 million tonnes of coal in 2019.

It is located about 10 km (6.2 mi) northeast of the town of Temagami near Sauvé Lake in central Cassels Township. It is named after the Temagami-Lorrain Mining Company, which carried out work on the property in the early 1900s.

    The Løkken Mine is an underground pyrite mine located in the municipality of Orkland in Trøndelag, Norway. The mine was operative from 1654 to 1987, from the mining community Løkken Verk. It contained the largest deposits of its kind in Norway. Between 1654 and 1845, a total of 11,300 tons of copper was produced from the mine. From 1904 the mine was run by the company Orkla Grube-Aktiebolag, and until 1987 a total of 24 million tons of pyrite was produced from the mine. In addition to sulphur, the pyrite contained about 2% copper, in addition to zinc and traces of silver and gold. The products were originally transported to the sea by horse and sledge during winter time. From 1908 the ore was transported by the Thamshavn Line, which was the first electrical railway line in Norway. The annual production was about 350,000 tons of ore during its final years.

    The Tonglushan mine is a Chinese copper mine located 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) east of the city of Daye in Hubei province. The mine is operated by China Daye Non-Ferrous Metals Mining Ltd., a subsidiary of China Nonferrous Metal Mining Group. On 12 March 2017, the open-pit mine was the site of a tailings dam failure which killed at least 2 workers. The operating company, China Daye Non-Ferrous Metals Mining reportedly incurred a 45.2M Yuan loss due to the incident after an investigation launched by the government of Huangshi city. Mining and illegal extraction of material under the dam was blamed for its failure.
