Gerda Steinhoff (January 29, 1922 – July 4, 1946) born in Danzig-Langfuhr, was a Schutzstaffel (SS) Nazi concentration camp overseer following the 1939 German invasion of Poland.

Helmut Patzig, also known as Helmut Brümmer-Patzig (26 October 1890 – 11 March 1984) was a German U-boat commander in the Kaiserliche Marine in World War I, and the Kriegsmarine in World War II. He was captain of U-86, the vessel that sank a Canadian hospital ship, HMHS Llandovery Castle, in 1918. Patzig evaded prosecution at the Leipzig War Crimes Trials in 1921 because he fled German jurisdiction. During the Second World War he returned to naval service, serving as commander of the 26th U-boat Flotilla, a U-boat training group, from 1943 into 1945.

Siegfried Freytag (10 November 1919 – 2 June 2003) was a World War II German Luftwaffe pilot and wing commander. As a fighter ace, he was credited with 102 aerial victories of which 49 victories were claimed over the Eastern Front. Among his victories over the Western Front are at least 2 four-engine bombers. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross Freytag had been nominated for the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, but the war ended before the paperwork had been processed.

Georg Otto Hermann Balck (7 December 1893 – 29 November 1982) was a highly decorated officer of the German Army who served in both World War I and World War II, rising to the rank of General der Panzertruppe.

Johann Pauls (born 9 February 1908 in Danzig – died 4 July 1946 in Gdańsk) was a German SS-Oberscharführer in Stutthof concentration camp. He was executed for war crimes.

Otto Ernst Vinzent Leo von Below (18 January 1857 – 15 March 1944) served as a Prussian general officer in the Imperial German Army during the First World War (1914-1918). He arguably became most notable for his command, along with the Austro-Hungarian commander Svetozar Borojević, during the victorious Battle of Caporetto in October-November 1917.

Alfred Zeidler (born 26 September 1909) was a German shipbroker and later SS-Hauptsturmführer. He was born in Gdańsk. He served as Lagerkommandant of the Grini concentration camp in Bærum, Norway, from 1942 to 1945. In the legal purge in Norway after World War II, Zeidler was sentenced to life sentence in 1947, for crimes committed at Grini.

Joachim von Tresckow (20 June 1894 – 3 November 1958) was a German general during World War II. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross of Nazi Germany.

Ulrich Otto Eduard Kessler (3 November 1894 – 27 March 1983) was a German general (General der Flieger) in the Luftwaffe during World War II. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, awarded by Nazi Germany to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
