Tarja Kaarina Halonen ( born 24 December 1943) is a Finnish politician who served as the 11th President of Finland, and the first woman to hold the position, from 2000 to 2012. She first rose to prominence as a lawyer with the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK), and as the Prime Minister's parliamentary secretary (1974–1975) and a member of the City Council of Helsinki (1977–1996). Halonen was a Social Democratic Party member of parliament from 1979 until her election to the presidency in 2000. She also served as a minister at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health from 1987 to 1990, as Minister of Justice from 1990 to 1991, and as Minister for Foreign Affairs from 1995 to 2000.

Sauli Väinämö Niinistö (born 24 August 1948) is a Finnish politician and the 12th President of Finland, in office since 2012.

Mari Johanna Kiviniemi (born 27 September 1968) is a Finnish politician, who served as the second female Prime Minister of Finland.

Anneli Tuulikki Jäätteenmäki (born 11 February 1955) is a Finnish politician who was the first female Prime Minister of Finland from 17 April 2003 to 24 June 2003. From 2004 until 2019, she served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Finland.

Matti Taneli Vanhanen (pronunciation ) (born 4 November 1955) is a Finnish politician who was Prime Minister of Finland from 2003 to 2010. He was also Chairman of the Centre Party, and in the second half of 2006 he was President of the European Council. In his earlier career he was a journalist. Vanhanen is the son of professor Tatu Vanhanen and Anni Tiihonen. On June 9, 2020, he became the Minister of Finance.

Jari Antero Koskinen (born 11 June 1960) is a Finnish politician who was Minister for Agriculture and Forestry of Finland from 2011 to 2014, as well as a former representative of the National Coalition Party in the Parliament of Finland. He also worked as a Minister for Agriculture and Forestry in Paavo Lipponen's second Cabinet.

Eva Rita Katarina Biaudet (born 27 February 1961) is a Finnish politician and Member of Parliament of Finland in the parliamentary group of the Swedish People's Party. She returned to the Finnish Parliament in the parliamentary election of April 2015. Eva Biaudet was Member of Parliament of Finland (1991–2006) and is a former Minister of Social Services (1999–2000 and 2002–2003). After the election of 2003 Biaudet did not want to continue as a cabinet minister.

Tarja Filatov (born August 9, 1963 in Hämeenlinna) is a Finnish member of Parliament representing the Häme constituency since 1995, and a former government minister. She belongs to the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP), and since February 2010 until April 2011 has been one of the two Deputy Speakers of the Parliament. Previously she was the vice chairman of the SDP parliamentary group (1999 - 2002) and the chairman of the parliamentary group (March 2007 - February 2010).

Mikko Pesälä (born 30 November 1938 in Iitti) is a Finnish former politician who served as the Finnish member of the European Parliament. A farmer by trade, he served as a member of the Parliament of Finland for 24 years, from 1975 to 1999, representing the Centre Party. He also served as Minister of Agriculture and Forestry from 1994 to 1995.

Paavo Nikula (15 August 1942 – 28 December 2024) was a Finnish politician who was Chancellor of Justice of Finland and a Member of Parliament. He was born in Helsinki. He served as the Minister of Justice from 1978 to 1979. He served as Chancellor of Justice from 1998 until his resignation in 2007. During his term, Nikula voiced opposition to a proposal that would allow employers to monitor the emails of their employees (the so-called Lex Nokia [fi]). Nikula died on 28 December 2024, at the age of 82.
