Carlos Saúl Menem (2 July 1930 – 14 February 2021) was an Argentine lawyer and politician who served as the 44th president of Argentina from 1989 to 1999. He was also a Senator for La Rioja Province from 2005 until his death. Ideologically, he identified as a Peronist and supported economically liberal policies. He served as President of the Justicialist Party for thirteen years, and his political approach became known as Menemism.

Eduardo Menem (born 30 April 1938) is an Argentine Justicialist Party politician. He is a former Senator and the brother of former President Carlos Menem.

Ada Mercedes Maza (born September 17, 1958, in La Rioja) is an Argentine Justicialist Party politician. She sit in the Argentine Senate representing La Rioja Province in the majority block of the Front for Victory.

Julio César Martínez (born 23 March 1962) is an Argentine politician, currently serving as a National Senator for La Rioja since 2017. A member of the Radical Civic Union (UCR), he previously served as Minister of Defense under President Mauricio Macri, as a National Deputy, and as a member of the Legislature of La Rioja.

María Florencia López (born 26 February 1980) is an Argentine politician who has been Vice Governor of La Rioja since 2019, under Governor Ricardo Quintela. She previously served as intendenta (mayor) of Arauco from 2015 to 2019, and as a member of the provincial legislature for Arauco from 2011 to 2015. López belongs to the Justicialist Party.

Mirtha María Teresita Luna (born 19 February 1964) is an Argentine politician. Formerly a member of the Justicialist Party, she served as Vice Governor of La Rioja Province from 2007 to 2011, and later as a National Senator for La Rioja from 2011 to 2017. In 2019, she left the Justicialist Party and became part of the Cambiemos coalition.

Teresa Nicolasa Quintela (born 26 January 1950, in La Rioja) is an Argentine Justicialist Party politician. She sat in the Argentine Senate representing La Rioja Province in the majority block of the Front for Victory from 2005 to 2011.
