The National Business Daily is a nationwide Chinese financial and economic daily newspaper published in China. The publication was officially inaugurated on December 9, 2004, and is considered a state-funded publication.

West China City Daily (WCCD; Chinese: 华西都市报) is a daily newspaper based in Chengdu, China. It was launched on 1 January 1995 and is the first metropolis newspaper in the People's Republic of China.

Sichuan Radio and Television (SRT) (Chinese: 四川广播电视台; pinyin: Sìchuān Guǎngbò Diànshìtái), is a major television network in China. The nation-wide television network is owned by the Sichuan provincial government. SRT is based in Chengdu in Sichuan.

Science Fiction World (Sci-Fi World; SFW) (Chinese: 科幻世界, Kehuan Shijie), begun in 1979, is a monthly science fiction magazine published in the People's Republic of China, headquartered in Chengdu, Sichuan. It dominates the Chinese science fiction magazine market, reaching a peak circulation of 300,000–400,000 copies per issue for a time after 1999, as a result of coincidentally publishing an issue matching the essay topic of the gaokao for that year, memory transplantation, which earned recognition from Xinhua.

The Journal of the West China Border Research Society (JWCBRS) was a scientific journal published at irregular intervals between 1922 and 1945 by the West China Border Research Society, and printed by the Canadian Methodist Mission Press. It was the first English-language journal published in Sichuan.

The West China Missionary News (WCMN) was a monthly news magazine published in Chengdu (Chengtu) from 1899 to 1943 by the West China Missions Advisory Board, and printed by Canadian Methodist Mission Press. It was aimed at Protestant missionaries working in Sichuan (or referred to as "West China"), and was the first and longest-running English-language newspaper in that province.

Jingzhe (traditional Chinese: 驚蟄, translated to English as both Spring Festival and Awakening from Hibernation) was a Chinese newspaper, published in Chengdu in the late 1930s. It was one of the last public expressions of the anarchism in China, one of several journals published by Chinese anarchists during the period but the only such to have a clear anarchist identity and position. Anarchism in China was previously a minor but influential ideology during the last years of the Qing dynasty, both in South China and among the Overseas Chinese, but with the eruption of the Chinese Civil War the anarchist movement declined heavily. It was frequently suppressed by the Chinese Communist Party and the Kuomintang.
