Maine Jacksonians

John Chandler (February 1, 1762 – September 25, 1841) was an American politician and soldier of Maine. The political career of Chandler, a Democratic-Republican, was interspersed with his involvement in the state militia during both the American Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.

Albion Keith Parris (January 19, 1788 – February 11, 1857) was the 5th Governor of Maine, a United States Representative from the District of Maine, Massachusetts, a United States Senator from Maine, a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Maine, an Associate Justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and the 2nd Comptroller of the Currency for the United States Department of the Treasury.

Joseph Clay Hall (c. 1803 or c. 1806 – 10 February 1857) was Mayor of Adelaide from 1854 to 1855.

John Anderson (1792–1853) was a Maine politician. Anderson served as United States Representative from Maine from 1825-1833.

Cornelius Holland (July 9, 1783 – June 2, 1870) was a United States Representative from Maine. He was born in Sutton, Massachusetts on July 9, 1783. He attended the common schools, studied medicine and commenced practice in Livermore, Maine in 1814.

Francis Ormand Jonathan Smith (Brentwood, New Hampshire, November 23, 1806; Deering, Maine, October 14, 1876) was elected from the state of Maine to the United States House of Representatives to serve three terms from 1833 to 1839, serving at one point on the US House of Representatives Committee on Commerce.

Moses Mason, Jr. (June 2, 1789 - June 25, 1866) was a U.S. Representative from Maine.

Gorham Parks (May 27, 1794 – November 23, 1877) was a U.S. Representative from Maine, and a Democratic Party candidate for Maine Governor.
