M People albums

Northern Soul is the first album by the British dance band M People. It was originally released on 4 November 1991. After the release of the single "Excited", a new song not originally included on the album, it was re-released with an updated track listing in late 1992, reaching number 53 on the UK albums chart. Following the success of the band's later albums, Elegant Slumming and Bizarre Fruit, this second version was re-issued in October 1995 and charted at number 26.

Fresco is the fourth and final studio album by the British dance band M People. It includes the Top 10 singles "Just for You" and "Angel St", the hit single "Fantasy Island", and a cover version of the Roxy Music song "Avalon". The album reached number 2 in the UK album charts, and was supported by a large UK arena tour. The tour confirmed M People as one of the UK's most successful live acts of the 1990s. Fresco became M People's last studio album. Various hit collections followed as well as two solo albums from lead singer Heather Small.

Bizarre Fruit is the third album by the British dance band M People. It was released on 14 November 1994 and charted and peaked at number 4, spending one year on the chart before an expanded version of the album, Bizarre Fruit II, was released a year later. This album sold 2.8 million copies in the UK and was certified 3x Platinum.

Elegant Slumming is the second album by the British dance band M People. It was released on 4 October 1993 charting and peaking at number 2 on the UK Album Chart and spent 87 weeks in the Top 75. It re-entered the chart three times in October 1996 and March and September 1997. Its overall sales stand at 835,000 as of September 2011.
