The Grump (Finnish: Mielensäpahoittaja ‘a person who always gets upset’) is a fictional character created by the Finnish author Tuomas Kyrö for a causerie series.

Shino Asada (朝田 詩乃, Asada Shino) is a fictional character who appears in the Sword Art Online series of light novels and anime by Reki Kawahara. She is more commonly known by her portmanteau, Sinon (シノン, Shinon), her player name in the Gun Gale Online and ALfheim Online video games that the series is set in. She makes her series debut in the fifth light novel volume, titled Phantom Bullet, and the second season of the Sword Art Online anime, voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro in Japanese and Michelle Ruff in the English dub.

Alice-Miranda At School is the first book in the series and was published in 2010. The series was created by Australian author Jacqueline Harvey, a teacher and former Deputy Head of Junior School and Director of Development at Abbotsleigh. Harvey created the Alice-Miranda series based on her teaching experiences at boarding schools. The series is sold throughout Australia, United States, United Kingdom, Indonesia, Turkey, Hungary and Brazil.

Theodore Boone is a fictional character created by John Grisham, who is the title character in Grisham's legal series for children. As of 2019, Boone has appeared in seven books.
