Nadine Labaki (Arabic: نادين لبكي‎ Nādīn Labikī; born February 18, 1974) is a Lebanese actress, director and activist. Labaki first came into the spotlight as an actress in the early 2000s. Her film-making career began in 2007 after the release of her debut film, Caramel, which premiered at the Cannes 2007 Film Festival. She is known for demonstrating everyday aspects of Lebanese life and covering a range of political issues such as war, poverty, and feminism. She is the first female Arab director to be nominated for an Oscar in the category for Best Foreign Language Film.

Darine Hamze (Arabic: دارين حمزة‎); is a Lebanese actress, director and producer. She is a well-known professional actress in the Arab world credited for taking on diverse, daring and complex roles in different languages and countries. She has been working in film, television and theatre since 2001 in The Middle East and Europe. Hamze won the Best Actress Award in Oran International Film Festival 2017 for her role in film Nuts. Hamze speaks Arabic, French, English and Persian.

Josef Fares (born 19 September 1977) is a Swedish-Lebanese film director and game designer. His brother is the actor Fares Fares, who has appeared in many of his films.

Danielle Arbid, born in Lebanon is a lebanese and french film director. She has been directing films since 1997.

Carmen Labaki (in Arabic كارمن لبكي) (born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1971) is a Lebanese–Brazilian movie director and producer. Carmen Labaki was born in Beirut. She is the winner of the Best Documentary Film Award 2005 at the Arpa International Film Festival in Hollywood, run by Arpa Foundation for Film, Music and Art for Labaki directing and producing Armenians of Lebanon about the Armenian community in Lebanon.

Joana Hadjithomas (Arabic: جوانا حاجي توما‎) is a Lebanese film director, screenwriter and producer. She often collaborates with Khalil Joreige. A Perfect Day (2005) is one of their most acclaimed films, and earned them the Don Quixote Award and the FIPRESCI Prize at the Locarno International Film Festival. They also received acclaim for Around the Pink House, which was Lebanon's official Best Foreign Language Film submission at the 72nd Academy Awards, but did not manage to receive a nomination.

Ghassan Salhab (Arabic; غسان سلهب, born 4 May 1958) is a Lebanese screenwriter and film director.

Jocelyne Saab (30 April 1948 – 7 January 2019) was a Lebanese journalist and film director. She is recognized as one of the pioneers of Lebanese cinema. A reporter, photographer, scriptwriter, producer, director, artist and founder of the Cultural Resistance International Film Festival of Lebanon, Saab focused on the deprived and disadvantaged – from displaced peoples to exiled fighters, cities at war and a Fourth World without a voice. Her work is grounded in historic violence, and in an awareness of the actions and images required to document, reflect on and counteract it.

Ziad Doueiri (Arabic: زياد دويري‎; born 1963) is a Lebanese cinematographer, film director and writer. He is best known for his award-winning films West Beirut (1998) and The Insult (2017), a film nominated at the 90th Academy Awards representing Lebanon.

Maroun Bagdadi (Arabic: مارون بغدادي‎; January 21, 1950 – December 11, 1993) was a Lebanese film director known for his vivid portrayal of Lebanon's civil war. Bagdadi was internationally the best-known Lebanese filmmaker of his generation. He worked with American producer/director Francis Coppola and made several films in French that became hits in France.
