Islands of Västra Götaland County

Torsö (Thor's Island) is the biggest island of the lake Vänern, area 62.03 km. Torsö is located in Mariestad Municipality. Torsö formerly consisted of two islands (Torsö and Fågelö), but around 1930 the water in between was pumped out, and the former lakebed is now used for growing crops.

Tureholm is a small and uninhabited artificial river island in Bäveån, which runs through the city of Uddevalla in Bohuslän, Sweden. It was created in the late 19th century or early 20th century by the local politician and publicist Ture Malmgren (1851–1922), close to his residence Villa Elfkullen. According to his newspaper Bohusläningen (writing many years after he died), the process of land reclamation took place because Malmgren enjoyed water, and wanted to be closer to the river. According to another author (who also notes that Malmgren would angle fish from Tureholm, where his "grandiose thoughts had free play"), it partially functioned as a wave breaker, preventing the ice of the late winters from pulling the nearby bridge with it. A small bridge is said to have formerly led from the mainland to its now overgrown embankments. The islet was named in reference to Malmgren by his friends. Other places named for him include the ruined Tureborg Castle and the nature reserve Ture Valleys.

Dyngö is a small island in the archipelago of Sweden's west coast, located in the province (landskap) of Bohuslän, near the village Fjällbacka. Formerly a fishing community, the island now has few or no permanent inhabitants, hosting instead a number of summer residents. In the 1950s one prominent summer resident was Per Nyström, the then county governor of the provinces of Bohuslän and Gothenburg.

Stora Drammen is an uninhabited skerry situated northwest of the Bohuslän province of Götaland, Sweden. It is administratively part of Strömstad Municipality and represents the westernmost extreme point of Sweden.

Vargö is a small island, one of the westmost in the Southern Göteborg Archipelago of Sweden. Facing the open sea, it is an almost completely barren island, and a nature reserve.

Orust Municipality (Orusts kommun) is a municipality in Västra Götaland County in western Sweden. Its seat is located in the town of Henån, with an approximate population of 1,800.

Vrångö is the southernmost inhabited island in the Southern Gothenburg Archipelago and it is also a locality situated in Gothenburg Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 364 inhabitants in 2010. The ferry 281 to Vrångö can be taken from Saltholmen.

Vinga is a small island 10 nautical miles (19 km; 12 mi) outside Gothenburg's harbour entrance in Sweden. The 19th century Vinga Lighthouse is noted, not only as a beacon in the waterway of the Swedish west coast, but also as the place where the Swedish poet laureate Evert Taube grew up. Today Vinga is a tourist attraction, with boats to and from Gothenburg harbour.

Stensholmen is a small island (or skerry) lying off the west coast of Sweden, in the locality of Fjällbacka, and is part of the islands of Bohuslän.

Stora Bornö is an island in Gullmarn fjord, belonging to the Lysekil Municipality.
