Official sources provide no data of civilian communities on the "Outer Islands". Administration falls to the Cambodian navy, as the island lies within the national marine border in which it represents an isolated outpost.

    Ko Man Nok (Thai: เกาะมันนอก, also spelled Koh Munnork) is a small private island, among a group of islands in the Klaeng Bay, Rayong Province, Thailand, called Man. The group includes Ko Man Nai, Ko Man Klang and Ko Man Nok islands. Ko Man Nok is approximately 0.2 square kilometres (0.077 sq mi) in size, and about 20 nautical miles away from Koh Samet, a 2½ hours journey from Bangkok. Ko Man Nok has only one resort, Koh Munnork Resort.

    Koh Thmei ("New Island", Khmer: កោះថ្មី, former French name: Ile du Milieu), is an island of Cambodia, situated in the Gulf of Thailand, immediately south-east of the Sihanoukville headland. Although clearly inside the protected area of Ream National Park, a number of development companies have obtained long lasting land-lease concessions since 2010. Announced were large-scale plans, including a bridge to the mainland. By August 2014 the island hasn't yet undergone any alterations. In early 2018, development hastened on the island, partly prompted by the launch of the Golden Silver Gulf Tourism Zone project, which encompasses Koh Thmei.

    Koh Seh (Khmer: កោះសេះ, also romanized as Kaoh Seh and its former French name Ile a l'eau) is a Cambodian island located in the Gulf of Thailand, inside Ream National Park, Sihanoukville province. It lies 1.5 km (1 mi) south of Koh Thmei and around 9 km (6 mi) south of the main-land of Sihanoukville's Ream commune. A 4.3 km (3 mi) wide sound separates it from Phu Quoc. "Koh Seh" means Horse Island. Less than 400 meters south-west of Koh Seh lies the tiny islet of Koh Ky.

The island has a total area of 589.27 km (227.52 sq mi) and a permanent population of approximately 179,480 people in 2020. Located in the Gulf of Thailand, the island city of Phú Quốc includes the island proper and 21 smaller islets. Dương Đông ward, located on the island's west coast, is the island's administrative centre and largest town. The other ward is An Thới on the southern tip of the island.

    Ko Samui (or Koh Samui), often locally shortened to Samui (Thai: เกาะสมุย), is an island off the east coast of Thailand. Geographically in the Chumphon Archipelago, it is part of Surat Thani Province, though as of 2012, Ko Samui was granted municipal status and thus is now locally self-governing. Ko Samui, with an area of 228.7 square kilometres (88.3 sq mi), is Thailand's second largest island after Phuket. In 2018, it was visited by 2.7 million tourists.
