Derek Patrick Daly (born 11 March 1953) is an Irish-American former racing driver. He won the 1977 British Formula 3 Championship, and competed as a professional racing driver for 17 years participating in 64 World Championship Formula One Grands Prix, debuting on 2 April 1978. He scored a total of 15 championship points, and also participated in several non-Championship Formula One races.

Ben Harrison (born 24 February 1988) is a rugby league footballer who plays as a loose forward, prop and second-row forward for the Barrow Raiders in Betfred League 1. He has played at international level for Ireland, England and the England Knights.

Frank Rothwell (born 16 June 1936) is an Irish weightlifter. He won eight All Ireland Weightlifting championships between 1963 and 1972. He competed in the men's middle heavyweight event at the 1972 Summer Olympics.

Brendan Francis Cusack (born June 29, 1992) is an Irish and American dual citizen foil fencer who competes on the Irish national team.

Bernard Dillon (1888 - 1941) was born at Caherina in Tralee. In 1901 he joined his older brother Joe, both of them being apprentice jockeys at the famous Druids Lodge training establishment in Wiltshire England. Victory on Lemberg in the 1910 Epsom Derby was his most famous achievement although he also rode winners in the 1,000 Guineas (Flair, 1906 and Electra, 1909), Lincoln (Uninsured, 1904), Cambridgeshire (Hacklers Pride, 1905), Eclipse Stakes (Lally, 1907 and dead heated on Lemberg in 1910), Coronation Cup (Pretty Polly, 1906) and the Grand Prix de Paris (Spearmint, 1906).

Lisa Kearney (born 27 May 1989) is a Northern Irish retired judoka, who competed in the −48 kg category. Kearney, who lives and trains in Belfast, competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London as a member of the Ireland Olympic team.

Kevin McGarrity (born 3 August 1973) is a Northern Irish racing driver from Belfast.

Aisling Blake, (born 23 July 1981) is a professional squash player who represented Ireland. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 22 in November 2010.

Madeline Perry (born 11 February 1977 in Banbridge, Northern Ireland) is a former professional squash player from Northern Ireland. She was raised in Northern Ireland and lives in Philadelphia.

John Smyth (28 May 1928 – 4 January 2007) was one of snooker's leading referees in the 1970s and 1980s. He officiated in two World Snooker Championship finals, including the first to be held at the Crucible Theatre in 1977. The second came in 1982 when Alex Higgins won his second world title. He also oversaw the match in which Kirk Stevens compiled a maximum 147 break at the 1984 Wembley Masters.
