Student of the Year is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film directed by Karan Johar, based on a story by Johar and a script by Rensil D'Silva and Niranjan Iyengar, and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions and Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment. The film stars Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, and also features Rishi Kapoor, Sana Saeed, Ronit Roy, Sahil Anand, Ram Kapoor and Farida Jalal in major supporting roles, with Boman Irani, Kajol, Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant in guest appearances. This was Johar's first and only feature film directorial venture without Shah Rukh Khan, as his next film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, had Khan in a cameo appearance.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (transl.) also known as KKHH, is a 1998 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film, written and directed by Karan Johar. It stars the popular on-screen pair of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in their fourth film together, along with Rani Mukerji. The film also marks the film debut of Sana Saeed. The plot combines two love triangles set years apart. The first half covers friends on a college campus, while the second tells the story of a widower's young daughter who tries to reunite her dad with his old friend.

Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (transl.) is a 2012 Indian Hindi romantic comedy film directed by Mandeep Kumar and produced by Kumar Taurani. The film features Riteish Deshmukh opposite his wife Genelia D'Souza in the lead roles. This is the third film the couple Diljit Dosanjh and Veena Malik appeared in guest roles. The film is inspired by the 1997 film A Life Less Ordinary.

Arya 2 is a 2009 Indian Telugu-language action comedy film directed by Sukumar. Starring Allu Arjun, Navdeep and Kajal Aggarwal, it is a spiritual sequel to the romantic action film Arya (2004). Devi Sri Prasad composed the film's music, while Aditya Babu and B. V. S. N. Prasad produced the film under the Aditya Arts banner. The plot revolves around the complex love–hate relationship between three characters, Arya, Ajay and Geetha.

Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (transl.) also known by the initialism HAHK, is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film written and directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions. The film stars Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan, and celebrates the Indian wedding traditions by relating the story of a married couple and the relationship between their families; a story about sacrificing one's love for one's family. It is an adaptation of the studio's earlier film Nadiya Ke Paar (1982), which was based on Keshav Prasad Mishra's Hindi novel Kohbar Ki Shart.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (transl. A Match Made By God), also known as RNBDJ, is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra under the banner Yash Raj Films. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, who makes her Bollywood debut with this film. It follows a mild-mannered office worker Surinder Sahni (Shah Rukh Khan), whose love for his beautiful and vivacious wife Taani (Anushka Sharma), causes him to transform himself into the loud and fun-loving "Raj Kapoor" to win her love. It was released worldwide on 12 December 2008 and marked Chopra's return to directing after an 8-year hiatus following his previous directorial venture, Mohabbatein (2000), which also starred Khan.

Namastey London (transl.) is a 2007 Indian romantic comedy-drama film directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. It also stars Rishi Kapoor, Javed Sheikh, Upen Patel and Clive Standen in supporting roles. The movie is originally based on a true life story of Akshay Kumar's friend. Riteish Deshmukh has a cameo role in the film. Critics have noted similarities between the film and the 1970 Manoj Kumar-directed Purab Aur Paschim, though the director denied it being a remake. The film became a box-office success upon release and also earned Kumar a Filmfare Award for Best Actor nomination.

Mujhse Dosti Karoge! (transl. Will You Be My Friend!) is a 2002 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age romantic drama film directed by Kunal Kohli and produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The film, which was loosely inspired from the 1996 American comedy The Truth About Cats & Dogs, follows the love triangle of three friends played by Rani Mukerji, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in leading roles, with Uday Chopra appearing in an extended special appearance.

Kal Ho Naa Ho (transl. Tomorrow May Never Come, ), also abbreviated as KHNH, is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film directed by Nikkhil Advani. The film stars Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta, with Sushma Seth, Reema Lagoo, Lillete Dubey, and Delnaaz Paul in supporting roles. It tells the story of Naina Catherine Kapur, a pessimistic and uptight MBA student, living in New York City. She falls in love with her neighbour Aman Mathur, a terminally ill patient who tries to set Naina up with her best friend Rohit Patel, since he fears she will grieve for him if he reciprocates her feelings.

Jab We Met (English: When We Met) is a 2007 Indian romantic comedy film written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film, produced by Dhillin Mehta under Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd, stars Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor in their fourth film together with Dara Singh, Pavan Malhotra and Saumya Tandon in supporting roles.
