Hotel buildings completed in 1924

Mira Mar Hotel was a historic hotel building built in 1924 in Sarasota, Florida and demolished in 1982. It closed in the 1960s, sat vacant, and was converted into the Main Palm Plaza Building. Before being torn down it was used as a retirement hotel. It was replaced with a parking lot. It was located behind the Mira Mar Apartments at Main Street and Palm Avenue, and the Mira Mar Auditorium was across the street. The hotel hosted the rich and famous, while the auditorium was said to be the go-to place for entertainment. A Sarasota Times article stated: "It is safe to say that the erection of the Mira-Mar Hotel has meant as much to the development of Sarasota as any one enterprise that has yet located here." The Mira Mar was a project of developer Andrew McAnsh and was constructed by G.A. Miller.

The Park Avenue Hotel was a hotel in the Cass Corridor of Detroit, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006, and removed in 2024. It was also known as Salvation Army Harbor Light Center and is not to be confused with Park Avenue House, also once known as Park Avenue Hotel. The building was imploded on July 11, 2015.

The Roosevelt Hotel is a former hotel and a shelter for asylum seekers at 45 East 45th Street in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. Named in honor of U.S. president Theodore Roosevelt, the hotel was developed by the New York Central Railroad and the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad and opened in 1924. The 19-story structure was designed by George B. Post & Son with an Italian Renaissance Revival-style facade, as well as interiors that resembled historical American buildings. The Roosevelt Hotel is one of several large hotels developed around Grand Central Terminal as part of Terminal City. Since 2000, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has owned the hotel.

Hotel Covell was a historic hotel in downtown Modesto, California. The first construction of the building was completed in 1924. A second addition was completed in 1928. The hotel operated from its inception in 1924 until closing in the 1980s. With the second addition to the building, the total number of hotel rooms was brought to 120. It was acclaimed as "one of the finest hotels of its day" and played an integral role in the economic development in the city.

The Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows is a historic five-star hotel located near the beach in Santa Monica, California, not far from the Santa Monica Pier. The property was originally a private estate, built in 1889. It was converted to a hotel in 1921.

525 Lexington Avenue (also FOUND Study Turtle Bay; formerly the Shelton Hotel, Shelton Towers Hotel, Halloran House, and the New York Marriott East Side) is a student dormitory and former hotel building at 525 Lexington Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The 34-story, 387 ft (118 m) building was designed by Arthur Loomis Harmon in a classical style and was developed by James T. Lee, grandfather of First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis. It was constructed between 1922 and 1923 as the Shelton Hotel, an apartment hotel. The Marriott East Side, one of several large hotels developed around Grand Central Terminal as part of Terminal City, became a New York City designated landmark in 2016.

The Burritt Hotel was a historic hotel at 67 West Main Street in New Britain, Connecticut, United States. Built in the 1920s to attract business travelers, it was the city's most luxurious hotel. It is now Burritt House, an affordable housing complex. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Hotel Windermere was a hotel in Hyde Park, Chicago, United States, located at 56th Street and Cornell Avenue. It was built in 1892 for the Columbian Exposition. In 1924 it was rebuilt with a West and East hotel under Rapp & Rapp, who also built the Chicago Theatre and the Tivoli Theatre. The 12-story hotel had 482 guest rooms and 200 apartments and had a tunnel connecting the two hotels. Over the years Windermere East attracted guests such as John Rockefeller, Philip Roth, George Burns and Gracie Allen, and American football teams. Windermere West was demolished in 1959 to make way for a parking lot, and in 1981 Windermere East was converted into apartments and placed on the National Register of Historic Places a year later under the title Hotel Windermere East.

The Fort Sumter Hotel is a seven-story condominium building located at 1 King St., Charleston, South Carolina. Work began on April 1, 1923, and guests were accepted starting in April 1924, but the formal opening was on May 6, 1924. The hotel cost $850,000 to build. The 225-room hotel was designed by G. Lloyd Preacher of Atlanta, Georgia.
