Hellenic Navy admirals

Dimitrios Loundras (6 September 1885 – 15 February 1970) was a Greek gymnast and naval officer who competed at the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens. He was the last surviving participant of these Games.

Sofoklis Dousmanis (Greek: Σοφοκλής Δούσμανης, 25 December 1868 – 6 January 1952) was a Greek naval officer. Distinguished in the Balkan Wars, he became twice the chief of the Greek Navy General Staff, and occupied the post of Minister for Naval Affairs in 1935.

Petros Voulgaris (Greek: Πέτρος Βούλγαρης, 13 September 1883 – 26 November 1957) was a Greek Admiral who served briefly as Prime Minister of Greece in 1945. He was famous for his role in suppressing the 1944 Greek naval mutiny and restoring the fleet to combat readiness, for which he was awarded the Commander's Cross of the Cross of Valour.

Pavlos Kountouriotis (Greek: Παύλος Κουντουριώτης; 9 April 1855 – 22 August 1935) was a Greek rear admiral during the Balkan Wars, regent, and the first President of the Second Hellenic Republic. In total he served four times as head of the Greek State, most times in the history of the seat.

Konstantinos Kanaris, anglicised as Constantine Kanaris or Canaris (Greek: Κωνσταντίνος Κανάρης; c. 1790 – 2 September 1877), was a Greek admiral, Prime Minister, and a hero of the Greek War of Independence.

Admiral Antonis Antoniadis (Greek: Αντώνης Αντωνιάδης) is a Greek naval officer, who served as Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff in 2002–2005.

Vice Admiral Georgios Giakoumakis (Greek: Γεώργιος Γιακουμάκης, born June 29, 1959) is a Greek naval officer, and a former Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff.

Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis (Greek: Ευάγγελος Αποστολάκης) is a Greek naval officer. After leading the Hellenic Navy General Staff in 2013–2015, he served as the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff until 14 January 2019, and then, until 9 July 2019, as the Minister of National Defence of Greece.
