Haitian emigrants

André Mattsson (born August 11, 1980) is a retired Haitian-born Swedish ice hockey defenceman. He played for the Norrtälje IK, AIK, Lidingö Vikings, IFK Kumla, Bodens IK, Skellefteå AIK, Djurgårdens IF and Malmö Redhawks of several Swedish leagues (Swedish Hockey League, HockeyAllsvenskan and Division 2), IK Comet of the Norwegian top level league, the GET-ligaen, and the Manchester Phoenix of the English Premier League.

André Toussaint was a Haitian singer and guitarist who emigrated to Nassau, Bahamas in 1953 and performed there until his death in 1981. He sang and recorded in several languages and in a variety of styles, most notably calypso.

Lesly St. Fleur (born 21 March 1989) is a Bahamian international football player, who plays as a striker for Jamaica National Premier League side Montego Bay United.

Charles Rivière-Hérard also known as Charles Hérard aîné (16 February 1789 – 31 August 1850) was an officer in the Haitian Army under Alexandre Pétion during his struggles against Henri Christophe. He was declared President of Haiti on 4 April 1843. He was forced from office by revolutionaries on 3 May 1844.

Benito Martínez Abrogán (June 19, 1880 – October 11, 2006) was a native of Cuba who claimed to be the world's oldest living person. He claimed to have been born on June 19, 1880, near Cavaellon, Haiti; however, he had no documents to verify this and was thus never an officially eligible candidate for this record. The Cuban government sent officials to Haiti to investigate, but found nothing to either prove or disprove the claim. Cuban government medical experts attested that he was at least 119 years old at the time of his death, but the reasons for this determination were never presented.

Jhon Miky Benchy Estama (born 14 June 1994) is a Haitian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Taichung Futuro. Besides Haiti, he has played in Dominican Republic and Taiwan.

Marc-Donald Fenelus (or Marco; born 22 August 1992) is a Turks & Caicos Islands footballer who currently plays for Taiwan Football Premier League club Taiwan Steel.

Bidrece Azor (born 14 March 1988) is a Haitian-Italian football player, who currently plays for ACD Poggese in Italy.

Lucien Lemoine (December 19, 1923 – January 13, 2010) was a Haitian-Senegalese stage director, actor, poet, and radio host. Born in Haiti, he fled the dictatorship of François Duvalier and settled in Senegal, where he became a citizen.

Jacqueline Scott-Lemoine (October 28, 1923 – July 9, 2011) was a Haitian-Senegalese actress and writer. Her inter-continental career serves as an example of the 20th-century back-to-Africa movement.
