    The 1985 Gujarat riots began in February 1985 and lasted till August, in the Indian state of Gujarat. Most of the rioting occurred in the city of Ahmedabad; some other cities, including the state capital of Gandhinagar, were also affected. Between 220 and 275 people were killed in the violence, while several thousands of others were injured, and tens of thousands were displaced. The riots also caused widespread property damage.

    A violent clash erupted between various workers of political parties including TMC, BJP, Congress and CPI (M) during the poll day of panchayat elections on 8 July 2023 in West Bengal. According to reports of Aljazeera and Reuters, at least 11 were killed and dozens more injured in clashes. Partial violence across the state had started from the announcement of the dates of polling from 8 June resulting in few casualties too. With polling and elections going on, violence against many workers continued over the streets of the state. The state witnessed gun shots, assaults, rioting and arsons wide across many parts of the state. Moreover, ballot boxes had been destroyed in various parts of the state. The polling process began at 7 am in 73,887 seats in rural areas of the state, where approximately 56,700,000 people were expected to cast their votes.

The protest was started after the Government of Manipur denied the entry of Thuingaleng Muivah into the state. The protest quickly escalated to police firing when the Government of Manipur declared martial law and sent its commando to occupy the town.

    The Lakhimpur Kheri incident was a sequence of violent incidents comprising a vehicle-ramming attack, drive-by shooting and a mob lynching all on 3 October 2021 at Banbirpur village near Tikunia in Lakhimpur Kheri district, Uttar Pradesh, India. They occurred during farmers’ protests against three agricultural laws passed in 2020 by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Union Government. The violence led to the deaths of eight people and injuries to ten others. Four protesting farmers and a journalist were run over by a car. Two BJP members and MP Ajay Mishra Teni's driver were lynched by protestors in the aftermath.
