    Camp Wolf KCIA was an Iraq War staging post for U.S. troops in the central region of Kuwait on the grounds of Kuwait International Airport. From 2003 to 2004, the camp was used for military troops and air cargo heading north into Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. More than 200,000 U.S. soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and coast guardsmen came through the aerial port of debarkation (APOD) between 1 January 2003 and the end of major combat operations.

    Silk City (Arabic: مدينة الحرير Madinat al-Hareer) is a large infrastructure project in northern Kuwait which is currently under development (Phase I). The project will be built in individual phases. In May 2019, the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway opened as part of the Silk City project's first phase, the project's first phase also includes Mubarak Al Kabeer Port which is currently under construction. The Silk City project is part of China's Belt and Road Initiative.

    The Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC; Arabic: منظمة الأقطار العربية المصدرة للبترول) is a multi-governmental organization headquartered in Kuwait which coordinates energy policies among oil-producing Arab states. OAPEC's primary objective is safeguarding the cooperation of numerous members in various aspects of economic activity within the oil industry as well as maintaining strong relations among themselves; to provide legitimate means to preserve the members' individual and collective efforts within the industry; unite on-going efforts for the procurement of oil; provide access to consumer markets on fair and reasonable terms; and provide conditions, adequate capital, and experience of investors in the oil industry.

    The 1982 Extraordinary Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement on the topic of Palestine took place from 5 to 8 April in Kuwait City, the capital of Kuwait. It was the first of the three meetings on Palestine that the Non-Aligned Movement organized in that year. The meeting in Kuwait was called by the Coordinating Bureau of the Movement during the NAM United Nations Headquarters meeting in New York which took place between 25 and 28 September 1981. The meeting provided the first opportunity for Egypt, one of the founding members of the Movement, to attends a conference in an Arab country that severed diplomatic relations with Cairo after the 1978 Camp David Accord.

    The Anglo-Kuwaiti Agreement of 1899 was a secret treaty signed between the British Empire and the Sheikhdom of Kuwait on 23 January 1899. Under its provisions Britain pledged to protect the territorial integrity of Kuwait in return for restricting the access of foreign powers to the Sheikhdom and regulating its internal affairs.

    Camp Buehring (formerly Camp Udairi) is a staging post for US troops in the northwestern region of Kuwait. From its founding in January 2003 to the present date, the base was used for military troops heading north into Iraq and is the primary location for the Middle Eastern Theater Reserve. The areas surrounding Camp Buehring, known as the Udairi Range Complex, is largely uninhabited, except for a few nomadic Bedouin tribes raising camels, goats, and sheep. Camp New York is nearby, in the same Udairi Range Complex.

    Al-Mutlaa (Arabic: جنوب المطلاع, Al-Mitlae) is a new city under construction in Jahra Governorate, northern Kuwait. It is the largest housing project in the Kuwaiti history, ultimately intended to provide homes for 400,000 people in 12 suburbs, together with schools, mosques, mini-markets and health-centres. The city was approximately 39% complete by May 2019, and is expected to be completed by 2023. Al-Mutlaa is one of several new cities planned by the Kuwaiti government, alongside Saad Al-Abdullah and Sabah Al-Ahmad. On 29 March 2023, A French company by the name of Egis Group has taken management over the construction of the city.

    Camp Doha was the main U.S. Army base in Kuwait, and played a pivotal role in the U.S. military presence in the Middle East since the 1991 Gulf War and in the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The complex is located on a small peninsula on Kuwait Bay, west of Kuwait City. It was initially a large industrial warehouse complex and was taken in hand by the U.S. Army for conversion to its current role in 1998 during Operation Desert Thunder.
