Ghajini is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss and produced by Allu Aravind, Tagore Madhu and Madhu Mantena. A remake of Murugadoss's own 2005 Tamil film of the same name starring Suriya and Asin, which in turn is inspired by the 2000 film Memento, it stars Aamir Khan, Asin (who reprises her role in the Tamil original, thus making her Bollywood debut), Jiah Khan and Pradeep Rawat in lead roles, with Tinnu Anand, Sunil Grover, Khalid Siddiqui and Riyaz Khan in supporting roles. The score and soundtrack were composed by A. R. Rahman, while Aamir co-wrote an altered climax.

Chennai Express ( ) is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Gauri Khan and Karim Morani, based on a story by K. Subash, with a screenplay written by Yunus Sajawal and dialogues by Farhad-Sajid. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan as Rahul Mithaiwala, a man who accidentally boards the eponymous train and journeys from Mumbai to Rameswaram with the daughter of a local don, played by Deepika Padukone. Nikitin Dheer and Sathyaraj play supporting roles. It was released with subtitles in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, German, Hebrew, Dutch, Turkish and Malay.

Aram + Aram = Kinnaram is a 1985 Indian Malayalam-language slapstick comedy film directed by Priyadarshan and written by Sreenivasan. It stars Shankar, Mohanlal, Lissy and Puja Saxena.

Magadheera (transl.) is a 2009 Indian Telugu-language fantasy action film, written by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad and directed by S. S. Rajamouli. The film stars Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal, with Dev Gill and Srihari in supporting roles, and was produced by Allu Aravind of Geetha Arts. The reincarnation-themed plot revolves around four people: a valiant warrior in charge of the princess' safety, the princess who is in love with him, the commander-in-chief of the army who lusts after the princess, and an emperor who wants to conquer their kingdom. They all die before their wishes are fulfilled and the plot jumps forward 400 years, at which point the reincarnation of the warrior starts having flashbacks upon a chance encounter.

Enthiran (transl.) is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language science fiction action film written and directed by S. Shankar. It is the first instalment in the Enthiran franchise. The film stars Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan; Danny Denzongpa, Santhanam and Karunas play supporting roles. The soundtrack album and background score were composed by A. R. Rahman while the dialogues, cinematography, editing and art direction were handled by Madhan Karky, R. Rathnavelu, Anthony and Sabu Cyril respectively.

Vettaikaaran (lit.) is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by debutant B. Babusivan and produced by AVM Productions. The film stars Vijay and Anushka while Srihari, Salim Ghouse, Sayaji Shinde and Ravi Shankar played supporting roles. Gopinath handled cinematography while V. T. Vijayan was the film's editor. This was Vijay's first film with AVM Productions. The film was dubbed into Telugu as Puli Veta.

The film, starring Suriya, Prabhu, Tamannaah, Akashdeep Saighal, Jagan, and Karunas, was produced by M. Saravanan and M. S. Guhan, distributed by Sun Pictures. The film score and soundtrack was composed by Harris Jayaraj, Edited by Anthony Gonsalvez, the film was filmed by M. S. Prabhu.

The film was produced by Jagannadh and Manjula Ghattamaneni by their respective production companies Vaishno Academy and Indira Productions.
