Experimental music albums by Canadian artists

Don Juan's Reckless Daughter is a 1977 double album by Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell. It is unusual for its experimental style, expanding even further on the jazz fusion sound of Mitchell's Hejira from the year before. Mitchell has stated that, close to completing her contract with Asylum Records, she allowed this album to be looser than anything she'd done previously.

The Way-Out Record for Children is the fourth album of children's music by Canadian electronic musician Bruce Haack with his collaborator Esther Nelson. It was recorded in 1967 and released in 1968 by their record label Dimension 5, and was the fourth in a series of children's records they created together with Ted Pandel. The album, like its predecessors in the series, contains a set of songs, stories, dances and other activities for young children to engage with, in order to enrich their learning development, and features an array of disparate musical styles.

Synthetic Soul is the debut extended play by Canadian experimental soul band Chiiild. It was released on February 28, 2020, by Avant Garden and Island Records. The EP exemplifies the band's blend of soul, r&b, psychedelia, jazz, indie, and pop. It also features a sole guest appearance from Zimbabwean American singer and songwriter Shungudzo.

Vagina Dancer is the second full length release by Canadian grindcore band Fuck the Facts. It was released on September 30, 2000 and features the more experimental noise recordings. At the time, Fuck the Facts consisted only of Topon Das.

Escunta is the fifth album by Canadian grindcore band Fuck the Facts. It was created and recorded in January 2001 at Total Bastard Studio. This release is different from most of the other Fuck the Facts releases because it is more focused on an experimental noise sound. In that sense, it is following the type of sound found on Vagina Dancer.

Concrete Igloo is the first full-length album by Canadian post-industrial band Dandi Wind. All songs were written and produced by Szam Findlay, with Dandilion Wind Opaine providing vocals.

KMH: Piano Music in the Continuous Mode is the debut album by the pianist Lubomyr Melnyk. It was originally released in 1978 and then re-released by Unseen Worlds in 2007. It is the first recorded example of continuous music.
