Petro-Canada (colloquially known as Petro-Can) is a retail and wholesale marketing brand subsidiary of Suncor Energy. Until 1991, it was a federal Crown corporation (a state-owned enterprise). In August 2009, Petro-Canada merged with Suncor Energy, with Suncor shareholders receiving approximately 60 percent ownership of the combined company and Petro-Canada shareholders receiving approximately 40 percent. The company retained the Suncor Energy name for the merged corporation and its upstream operations. It continues to use the Petro-Canada name nationwide.

Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Corporation, also known as SaskOil, was a Canadian Crown corporation owned by the Government of Saskatchewan from 1973 to 1986, when the company went public under the name Wascana Energy Inc. In 1987, the last remaining government interest in the corporation was sold to Canadian Occidental Petroleum and in 1997 it was bought entirely by Canadian Occidental.

Hydrocarbon Development Institute of Pakistan, (HDIP), (ادارہ ترقیات ہائیڈرو کاربن) is based in Islamabad, Pakistan. The HDIP was established in 1975 by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources. HDIP works closely with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources. The Petroleum Institute of Pakistan (PIP) The PIP was established in 1963 to represents all the segments of the gas, oil and petroleum industry in Pakistan.

Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) is a coal producer based in India. The company was founded in 1975 after nationalisation of coal mines in India. It operates coal mines in Jharkhand and West Bengal states of India. It inherited all the private sector coal mines of the Raniganj Coalfield. It is one of the fully owned subsidiaries of Coal India Limited. The company has its headquarters at Sanctoria, in West Bengal.

Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) is one of the eight Subsidiary Companies of Coal India Limited (CIL) which is under administrative control of the Ministry of Coal. The Company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 has its registered office at Coal Estate, Civil Lines, Nagpur–440001. WCL has been conferred "Miniratna" status on 15 March 2007. The company has contributed about 6.7% of the national coal production during 2014–15. It has mining operation spread over the states of Maharashtra (in Nagpur, Chandrapur & Yeotmal Districts) and Madhya Pradesh (in Betul and Chhindawara Districts). The company is a major source of supplies of coal to the industries located in Western India in the States of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and also in Southern India in the States of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. A large numbers of Power Houses under Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh - Electricity Boards are major consumers of its coal along with cement, steel, chemical, fertilizer, paper and brick Industries in these states.

Nordic Windpower was a privately owned manufacturer of wind turbines based in Kansas City, Missouri in the United States. Nordic Windpower filed for liquidation in the Kansas City Bankruptcy court in October 2012.

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) is a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), an undertaking of the Government of India. CCL was established in 1956 as National Coal Development Corporation Limited and is a Category-I Mini Ratna company since October 2007. CCL manages the nationalized coal mines of the Coal Mines Authority, Central division. CCL is headquartered at Darbhanga House, Ranchi, Jharkhand.

The company was established in February 1975 in Fukushima, Japan.

Trinidad Drilling Ltd. is a corporation headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada that operates in the drilling and well servicing sectors of the North American oil and gas industry. The company converted to an income trust in 2002 and did business under the name Trinidad Energy Services Income Trust. It has since reverted to a corporation under the name Trinidad Drilling.
