    Stereosonic was an annual electronic dance music festival held in Australia in November and early December. Stereosonic was held in Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne, attracting attendances of up to 200,000 patrons nationally featuring the biggest electronic artists in the world.

    Future Music Festival was an annual music festival featuring Australian and international artists held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth in Australia and as of 2012 also Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. The festival was usually held in late February - early March and has been headlined by notable acts including The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, New Order, The Stone Roses and most recently Drake. Several weeks after the 2015 edition of the festival, Mushroom Group announced their decision to scrap any future editions of the festival due to low ticket sales.

    Summadayze was an annual Australian music festival held in the month of January. The first event occurred on 1 January 1999 at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne. It subsequently expanded into a four city festival including one in New Zealand. Summadayze was organised by Future Entertainment before it was liquidated in 2013.

    RAT Parties were a series of large dance parties held in Sydney, Australia during the 1980s and early 1990s. The Powerhouse Museum said that they "formed a key element of an emerging subculture" that was fashion-aware, gay-friendly, appreciated dance music and open, outrageous celebration. Along with the rise of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, the success of RAT Parties marked a groundswell of acceptance of Sydney's gay & lesbian community. RAT parties are credited with introducing the visual performance art of VJing to Australia.

The festival is mainly known for its focus on electronic music, with psychedelic trance, minimal techno, and chill-out music on its main stage, but it now features music across many genres, many art installations, workshops, and other attractions such as market stalls, healing arts and multi-cultural foods. Approximately 12,000 people attend the festival each year.

    Transmission Festival (also known as Transmission) is a large indoor trance music event originally based in Prague, Czech Republic at the O2 Arena. In March 2014, the festival was held for the first time in Bratislava, Slovakia. Leaving Europe's shores for the first time, in July 2016 the festival was held in Melbourne, Australia. In March 2017 the festival extended further by visiting Bangkok, Thailand and returned to Melbourne, Australia in September. In 2018, the festival returned to Bangkok, Thailand, hosted two days at Germany's AirBeat One Festival near Neustadt-Glewe, and debuted in Shanghai for its first edition in China. In March 2019, the festival returned to Australia at a new location at Sydney Showground. In October 2022, the festival debuted in Gdańsk, Poland at the Ergo Arena. In December 2023, the festival took place in its biggest venue to date at GelreDome in Arnhem, Netherlands, to which it returns on 12th April 2025. On the 9th August 2025, Transmission will host a stage at Dance Valley Festival in Netherlands.
