    If There Is a Reason to Study (Native title: 學習的理由) is an ethnographic documentary film spanning 7 years directed by Adler Yang. The production of the film started in March 2009, when Yang was 14 years old, studying at the Humanity (RenWen) Junior High School as a grade 8 student. The film was theatrically released in Taiwan and Hong Kong since August 2016 by crowdfunding, screening at major theaters in Taipei, Taoyuan, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Yilan, Kowloon, etc. The film has also been selected in more than 10 film festivals internationally, receiving 11 awards and recognitions.

    The Chinese Encyclopedia (simplified Chinese: 中华百科全书; traditional Chinese: 中華百科全書; pinyin: Zhōnghuá Bǎikēquánshū) is a modern Chinese encyclopedia. It was published in the Republic of China (Taiwan) from 1981 until 1983. It comprises 10 volumes and 38 categories, with more than 15,000 entries. Most of the editors were from the Chinese Culture University and the China Academy (simplified Chinese: 中华学术院; traditional Chinese: 中華學術院; pinyin: Zhōnghuá Xuéshùyuàn) in Taiwan. An online version was published in 1999.

    The National Languages Committee was established in 1919 by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China with the purpose of standardizing and popularizing the usage of Standard Chinese in the country. The committee was known in English as the Mandarin Promotion Council or the National Languages Promotion Committee until 2003, but the Chinese name has not changed. The phrase Guoyu (國語 "National language") typically refers to Standard Chinese, but could also be interpreted as referring to "national languages". The reorganization of the Executive Yuan made the duties of the National Languages Committee be transferred to the Department of Lifelong Education's fourth sector (Reading and Language Education) from 2013.
