Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck is a 2015 American documentary film about Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain. The film was directed by Brett Morgen and premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. It received a limited theatrical release worldwide and premiered on television in the United States on HBO on May 4, 2015. The documentary chronicles the life of Kurt Cobain from his birth in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1967, through his troubled early family life and teenage years and rise to fame as frontman of Nirvana, up to his suicide in April 1994 in Seattle at the age of 27.

Evergreen: The Road to Legalization is a 2013 documentary film directed by Riley Morton about the U.S. state of Washington's passage of an initiative decriminalizing recreational cannabis. The film was written by Nils Cowan and features defense lawyer Doug Hiatt, American Civil Liberties Union lawyer Alison Holcomb, Pete Holmes, John McKay, initiative opponent Steve Sarich, and Rick Steves.

Roll on Columbia: Woody Guthrie and the Columbia River Songs is a 2011 documentary film about Woody Guthrie's music created for Columbia River projects, particularly "Roll On, Columbia, Roll On". It premiered at McMenamin's Pub in Troutdale, Oregon. In the documentary, oral historian Michael O'Rourke is interviewed about Guthrie's month of songwriting in Oregon and Washington. O'Rourke also produced the film. The film was developed from a radio documentary that O'Rourke created for Oregon Public Broadcasting.

SpokAnarchy! is a 2011 documentary film that chronicles the 1980s punk rock scene in Spokane, Washington. Mixing vintage music videos, live clips, and found footage with contemporary interviews, the film portrays what happened when a group of disaffected teenagers from a small, isolated Northwest city embraced the music and fashion of the big-city punk scenes. The interviewees reminisce about their early years as rebels and misfits in a conservative town, and reflect on how their participation in the scene continues to influence their lives as middle-aged adults.
