Ernst Rudolf Jaakson (11 August 1905, Riga, Livonia (then Russian Empire) – 4 September 1998, New York, United States) was an Estonian diplomat whose unique contribution was to maintain Estonia's legal continuity with his uninterrupted diplomatic service for 69 years.

Ints M. Siliņš (25 March 1942) is a Latvian-American retired Career Foreign Service Officer who served first as Chargé d'Affaires ad interim to Latvia beginning service October 2, 1991 and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Latvia until July 14, 1995.

Binyamin Eliav (born Binyamin Lubotzky in Riga on 1909, died in Petah Tikva on July 30, 1974) was an Israeli politician, diplomat, author and editor. One of the founders of Betar, he was a close associate of revisionist leader Ze'ev Jabotinsky, but later became a member of the labour party, Mapai.

Hardijs Baumanis (10 December 1967 – 6 April 2015) was a Latvian diplomat. He served as Ambassador of Latvia to Lithuania and Azerbaijan from 2010 until his death. He died on 6 April 2015 in the Azerbaijani capital Baku, aged 47.

Baron Peter von Meyendorff (Russian: Пётр Казимирович Мейендорф, born 2 August 1796 in Riga, died 7 March 1863 in Saint Petersburg) was a Russian diplomat from the Meyendorff family. From 1850 to 1854, he was Russian ambassador to Austria.

Māris Riekstiņš (born 8 April 1963 in Riga, Soviet Union) is a Latvian politician and diplomat and a former Foreign Minister of Latvia (November 2007 – April 2010). He is the current Ambassador of Latvia to the Russian Federation.

Andris Teikmanis (29 November 1959; Riga, Latvia) is a Latvian lawyer, politician, and diplomat. He served as Mayor of Riga from 1990 to 1994. In September 2016 he was accredited as the Latvian ambassador to the United States. He previously served as Under Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riga, and as Latvian ambassador to the Council of Europe, to the Russian Federation, to Germany, and to the United Kingdom, and as non-resident ambassador to Australia and New Zealand.

Anatols Dinbergs (March 3 [O.S. February 2], 1911 – November 9, 1993) was one of the preeminent career diplomats of Latvia. He entered service in Latvia's Foreign Ministry in 1932. Dinbergs remained abroad when the Soviet Union occupied Latvia, serving in the Latvian Legation in Washington, D.C., after World War II ended. Dinbergs assumed the highest diplomatic post, that of chargé d'affaires, in 1970 and represented Latvia's sovereign interests in exile until Latvia reestablished its independence in 1991. As head of the Latvian diplomatic service abroad, Dinbergs was appointed Latvia's first ambassador to the United Nations and subsequently Latvia's first ambassador to the United States. After retirement, he served as Counselor to the Latvian Embassy in Washington, D.C., until his death in 1993.

Andreas Eberhard Freiherr von Budberg-Bönninghausen (Russian: Андрей Яковлевич Будберг; tr. Andrey Yakovlevich Budberg) (10 August 1750 – 1 September 1812) was a Baltic German diplomat who served as Foreign Minister in 1806–07.

Eduards Stiprais (born on February 19, 1969 in Riga, Latvia) is a Latvian diplomat who served as Permanent Representative of Latvia to the European Union from 2004 until 2007. Between 2004 and 2009 he served as Head of EU Delegation to the Republic of Uzbekistan. He also served as Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the United Kingdom and since 2020 he serves as Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to France.
