Death metal compilation albums

Grind Crusher is a CD/LP released by Earache Records in 1989 showcasing nine of the label's bands. It contained a number of pioneer grindcore and death metal groups such as Napalm Death, Bolt Thrower, Morbid Angel, Carcass and Repulsion. This compilation was later rereleased in 1991 as Grindcrusher: the Ultimate Earache, augmented with 14 extra tracks by the likes of Entombed and Nocturnus.

The Older Ones is the first compilation album by Norwegian blackened death metal band Old Funeral, which was made up by key players in the Norwegian black metal scene, including bassist/vocalist Olve "Abbath" Eikemo (Immortal), guitarist Harald "Demonaz" Nævdal (Immortal) and guitarist Kristian "Varg" Vikernes (Burzum). By the time this album was released, the members had already gone their separate ways, with Immortal a going concern for "Abbath" and "Varg" in jail.

Overcome or Burn Forever in Hell/Arachnid Terror Sampler is an EP by black metal band Paradox combined with a sampler album featuring fourteen different artists, released in 2002 by the band's own Tarantula Promotions label. Limited to five hundred copies, it contains two songs by Paradox, which were the final recordings of that band, along with a compilation of fourteen songs previously recorded by their respective artists. The album's musical style was described as extreme metal, with the various genres on the album falling under black metal, death metal, grindcore, deathcore, and doom metal. Apart from Paradox, the other artists represented on the album include Soul Embraced, Sanctifica, Frosthardr, Frost Like Ashes, Kekal, Pantokrator, and Tortured Conscience, among others. According to Paradox founder Michael "John Tarantula", the release was a result of his newsletter project, Fangs of Life, which he published through his Tarantula Promotions label.

The Lost Tapes of Cogumelo is a compilation released by the Brazilian label Cogumelo Records in 1990. which includes the following bands: Overdose, Holocausto, Sarcófago, Sepultura, Mutilator, and Chakal.

Hell on Earth: A Tribute to the Misfits is a tribute album to the American horror punk band Misfits released in 2000 by Cleopatra Records. It features primarily industrial rock, death metal and garage punk bands performing cover versions of Misfits songs from the band's early era, 1977 to 1983. Except for Electric Hellfire Club's cover, all of these covers had been released on a previous Misfits tribute album titled Hell on Earth... Hail to Misfits in 1996.

Pray for the Sentencing is a two-disc compilation album by American death metal band Solstice. The first CD contains remastered songs from the band's first two albums, Solstice and Pray. The second disc contains remixes of the songs from Pray by guitarist Dennis Munoz.

St. Jean Baptiste 2010 is a French language digital compilation by Canadian grindcore band Fuck the Facts. It is in celebration of the national holiday in Quebec.

Requiems of Revulsion is a tribute album of goregrind, death metal, grindcore and deathgrind bands covering Carcass tracks.

Story: 10th Anniversary is the first compilation album by Finnish heavy metal band Amorphis. It was released in 2000 to commemorate the band's tenth anniversary.

Where Were You When: 1989-1995 is a compilation album by American grindcore band Human Remains. It was released on March 19, 2002 through Relapse Records. The first disc of the album contains all the officially released material, including two 7"s, the Using Sickness as a Hero EP, and a compilation-only track, while the second disc features 18 demo tracks, including previous versions of most tracks on the first disc as well as seven previously unreleased songs.
