    Robert Michael "Bob" "Le Capitaine" Gainey (born December 13, 1953 in Peterborough, Ontario) is the former executive vice president and general manager of the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is currently a team consultant for the Dallas Stars. He is also a former professional ice hockey player who played for the Canadiens from 1973 until 1989. After retiring from active play, he became a hockey coach and later an executive with the NHL Minnesota North Stars/Dallas Stars organization before returning to Montreal as general manager from 2003 to 2010. Gainey was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1992.

He was previously the head coach of four other organizations and won a Stanley Cup in 1996 with the Colorado Avalanche. He is also a former professional ice hockey forward who played for the Vancouver Canucks.

    Lindy Cameron Ruff (born February 17, 1960) is a retired professional ice hockey player and the current head coach for the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League (NHL). During his playing career, Ruff played in the NHL for the Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers. Ruff was previously the head coach of the Sabres from 1997 to 2013 and won the Jack Adams Award as Coach of the Year in 2006.

    The Dallas Stars are a professional ice hockey team based in Dallas, Texas. They are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team was founded during the 1967 NHL expansion as the Minnesota North Stars, based in Bloomington, Minnesota. Before the beginning of the 1978–79 NHL season, the team merged with the Cleveland Barons after the league granted them permission due to each team's respective financial struggles. Ultimately, the franchise relocated to Dallas for the 1993–94 NHL season. The Stars played out of Reunion Arena from their relocation until 2001, when the team moved less than 1.5 miles into the American Airlines Center.

    Kenneth S. Hitchcock (born December 17, 1951) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey coach. Hitchcock coached the Dallas Stars, Philadelphia Flyers, Columbus Blue Jackets, St. Louis Blues and Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He also served as an assistant coach for the 2014 Canadian Olympic national team. Hitchcock won a Stanley Cup with the Stars in 1999. He is the third winningest coach in NHL history with a total of 849 victories. He was named a 2019 Order of Hockey in Canada recipient.
